The Symphony

I heard the music of the soft wind
whispering,
Creating sounds of distant violins;
Teasing rays of sunlight danced upon shimmering leaves;
Hence the forest's conductors paused, and were listening.

Traffic consisted of bushy-tailed squirrels,
Scurrying toward a secret rendezvous;
I heard an orchestra
of birds, serenading their mates,
Droplets of
rain joined in with drumming, forming magnificent pearls.

After an interval of a sweetly
performed shower,
I heard a hummingbird singing in tune;
'Twas as if in acappella that a group of bees
Were harmonizing while nursing a
flower.

'Twere visions of glitter amongst branches of
trees,
Creating an illusion of a thousand
rainbows;
'Twas no doubt this forest was due an
ovation,
For I had been Audience to a
"Grand Symphony."
