Simple yet Profound

Good Morning Little Flock,

I hope that you are enjoying the freedoms we here in America so often take for granted and that the Lord is blessing you this morning with health and happiness. Well this study/office is now bright with new paint and would be pretty if a certain fellow I happen to know personally ever gets it all put back together... (smile) This desk has been moved as well as most everything in here... I never realized how much STUFF I've accumulated until 4 (four) wild women got turned loose. I must admit that the ole room didn't go down without a ferocious battle though... LOL Is took the four of them all day and into the evening to accomplish the painting task...
Oh Yea, there are a few battle scars too! Let's see. Connie girl has a bruise on her arm, received while she was removing the bathroom door so she could bring a large white cabinet in here to replace the smaller and sorter one I have been using. I believe that Dianne and Naomi were trying to move the white cabinet and Connie and the door got in their way... I tried to get in thereto see what in the world had happened but there was no way... You see they had previously crammed every room on this end of the house full of things from this study.. Yes even the hall way is an obstacle coarse... (smile)
Let's see, who was next. Well I'm not sure but Naomi broke her toe in here while moving or trying to move a book case and Dianne has the whole side of her foot bruised but she doesn't know exactly how that happened... But I half way expected to see Dianne bang something up... She is one of those people who is accident prone. Of coarse she snatches and grabs without looking soooooooo that may be the reason... Anyway, she is a walking accident looking for a place to happen... LOL
Well, Emma got off scot free but yours truly did manage to scratch his leg, yea the bad one, while trying to navigate the hall way... I'll have to admit that I didn't do much. While the four wild ones were doing all the work, little Buttons, (Naomi's 2 yr. old daughter, Kaitlyn) and I were in the living room... She played and I sat in the ole easy chair typing a letter on my lap top computer....
After everyone left I began, starting with this desk, to reorganize this room. Got side tracked though and hooked the computers up and here I sit hoping for the house cleaning fairy to appear and work a miracle thru the pig path from the doorway to this desk... LOL Even Panda Bear was all tore down because her little house which stays in this room was shut up and stacked on something or another for all day... But she is snoring in it as I type right now. Yea the poor lost pup looked so pitiful that I did get it stuck back under the table and put her food and water beside it... So now she is a happy little camper once more.... LOL
So there you have it... Yea, the rest of the Saga and happenings going on here at the Bar-K-Ranch featuring four wild women and one half crazed ole man... LOL I hope that you enjoyed this little story... Well, that Connie girl has been asleep for quite awhile now and I'm kinda worn out an headed for the bed too so let me thank Bill for sharing this simple yet profound story of a fallen soldier... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I want you to close your eyes and picture in your mind the soldier at Valley Forge, as he holds his musket in his bloody hands. He stands nearly barefoot in the snow, starved from lack of food, wounded from months of battle and emotionally scarred from the eternity away from his family surrounded by nothing but death and carnage of war. He stands though, with fire in his eyes and victory on his breath. He looks at us now in anger and disgust and tells us this...
I gave you a birthright of freedom born in the Constitution and now your children graduate too illiterate to read it.
I fought in the snow barefoot to give you the freedom to vote and you stay at home because it rains!
I left my family destitute to give you the freedom of speech and you remain silent on critical issues, because it might be bad for business.
I orphaned my children to give you a government to serve you and it has stolen democracy from the people.
It's the soldier, not the reporter who gives you the freedom of the press.
It's the soldier, not the poet who gives you the freedom of speech.
It's the soldier, not the campus organizer who allows you to demonstrate.
It's the soldier, who salutes the flag, serves the flag, whose coffin is draped with the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag!!!
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen." =====================================================
One thing is for sure. God has been so good to us even though we sometimes, more like most times, don't deserve such goodness. Let us not forget to remember our young men and women in prayer as they sacrifice so much so you and I can have the freedoms we enjoy. Well, I just poured a cup of coffee so I may work a little bit longer on the 'Let me Sing for You' page after sending his out... I've accumulated a back log of letters to answer but I've read all your letters to me and will answer them soon.

So until we meet again;
May the Lord watch over each one of you all and keep you all safe,

Jim
