My Thought For Today

I publish “My Thought for Today” as an online ministry on a semi-regular basis for everyone to enjoy and to hopefully receive a blessing from. A Diary style of writing pertaining to daily lessons from God performed here at the Bar-K-Ranch.

'Warning! Warning!'

Good Morning Everyone,

I pray that you had a restful night’s sleep and that God is smiling down on you this morning. Isn’t it wonderful to be a child of God this morning and know that the Holy Spirit is residing in your heart. Waiting to go with you thru another day and be your constant companion and guide. Isn’t it odd that we most times, jump out of bed, grab a cup of coffee, maybe a quick breakfast or piece of toast, and bustle off out into the world to do our jobs and never really thank God for your night of sleep and safe keeping... Oh, we may rattle off a little prayer as we’re grabbing our clothes. Hurriedly read a verse or two from the Bible and call it our morning devotional. Or we may have one of those little booklet’s which take less than a minute to read each day with a verse already picked out for you. You don’t even have to hunt for your Bible until next Sunday morning, when you can then dust it off before tucking it under your arm.... Sound familiar?

Well, I don’t know why I started off this way today.. It just sort of popped out. (smile) Maybe it was because I had a rough evening after I got off this PC yesterday and when I went to go to bed, Connie had to hold onto me and guide me to the bedroom to keep me from falling. All I know is that I felt this urgent need to get as close to God as I could... Connie brought me my Bible but I hurt so bad I couldn’t hold it up so I ask her to read it for me... She read it for a good while and it was like an angel talking to me... The words Connie spoke was like music from heaven as I lay there listening to God’s Holy Word being read... I still hurt but there was comfort in the pain...

Maybe that first chapter of today’s thought popped out like that because I realized how often we, that is you and I, speak and pray AT God and not TO God. WE demand but don’t ask... We may throw our hands in the air and holler hallelujah when we should be falling on our faces crying out, ‘Oh God, have mercy on my wretched soul‘... The Bible says come ‘Boldly’ before the thrown of Grace but it doesn’t say anything about coming proudly.

Hebrews 4: 14, 16
[14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
[15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
[16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

I Peter 5: 5, 6
[5] Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
[6] Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

This morning as I sat with my first cup of coffee on the front porch I was looking across the fields as I normally do. It was beautiful. The fog was lifting and these Kentucky hills had that purplish haze about them with the sunrays slipping thru. I caught a glimpse of yellowish white flash in the sky just over the fields and realized that it was a hawk searching for his breakfast. It was only a second or two after I saw the flash of the hawk that the morning quiet broke into a frenzy of squawking. The crows which had roosted in the woods began cawing out and the blue jays began screeching and fluttering about. There was a panic in the air as the birds began warning each other as the hawk came close and became a threat to them...

Maybe that is what this ‘thought’ is all about today.. A warning that the hawk is near and we need to seek refuge in the arms of Jesus.
Psalms 62: 7, 8
[7] In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
[8] Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

If nature itself teaches us that we should warn each other of the danger coming should we do no less as humans? But more than just being human, as children of God shouldn’t we be crying out in panic that the hawk, the evil one, even Satan is approaching and is even at our door waiting to devour us?
I Peter 5: 8
[8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Oh, dear little flock, The time is so close and we MUST be ready. We MUST be warning the undone, the cold hearted ones who are playing Christian but not in a true closeness with God. What is your relationship with your Lord and Saviour this morning? Or do you truly even have a relationship with Jesus? How many lost but religious church goers are reading this today? Pretending to know Jesus, members of the first church of the phony righteous but headed to a devil’s hell. Just where do you stand this morning? This is your wake up call.

And you who are lost and without hope; why are you waiting to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Do you think that you are exempt from the flames of hell where the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched? A very real place to spend eternity, (a very long time without end).... This is your warning. Your wake up call as well. It is time to quite playing games with God! For you who are saved and born again, it is time to get your life right with Him. For you who have never accepted God’s plan of salvation. You time is short. Your time is now!

The hawk if flying. Warning! Warning! The time is here.. Get ready! Cry out in repentance, fall on your face, and seek God while He may be found.
Matthew 6: 33, 34
[33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
[34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

You have to guarantee of tomorrow, or next week or next year. You don’t even have a guarantee of one minute from now.
James 4: 14
[14] Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Warning! Warning! Your time is now...............
II Corinthians 6: 1, 2
[1] We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
[2] (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

There is everlasting joy for those who are in Christ Jesus...
I Peter1: 3, 5---8
[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
[4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
[5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

[8] Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Thank you Jesus for your love.. Thank you Jesus for saving me and making me your child... Well Glory!

Question less Trust more

Good Morning Everyone,

WOW! can you believe that it is Tuesday already? I am about four or five days behind now and today is not going to be a good one for catching up either. (smile) Connie girl is having dinner for some of her brothers and sisters and this ole house is going to be jumping in just a little bit.. She started cooking last night and just got back from town with a bunch of goodies. Everyone should get here about noon time so I am trying to get this ready before they get here.

You’ll never guess what I been up to these last few days.. Maybe I can catch you up on the happenings around the Bar-K-Ranch... I’m having trouble knowing just where to start.. (smile) First off I have been fighting with this ole pc trying to learn the new programming... It has been locked up as much and it has been working.. I had a weeks worth of music with all the titles and song names typed in and was trying to sing and play my guitar and record and somehow hit the delete on the wrong thing and lost every thing.. But praise God I have it all back in again and can listen to my gospel songs once more...

The last two days I have been taking all the midi’s off of my two web sites. If you have been to the heaven bound site you’ll see a yellow warning box that links to the site telling about midi’s songs. It seems that some of the free to use midi’s are in fact copyrighted and there are some very large law suits going on now. I don’t know for sure my music midi’s were included in this and didn’t want to infringe upon other’s rights so I removed all my midi’s from both sites.. I haven’t finished with the heaven bound site yet. It is tore all to pieces right now. I also have several sites that I have made for others which I’ll have to remove the midi’s from.. eeeeeeeeek!

I sure hate not having any music on my sites and it really takes away from the pages.. I know many of you have web sites and may want to check into this... I have sure been torn up over it... I read some of the letters of people who were sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars.. I’ll be putting music back on later but only after I know who wrote the songs... I don believe it would be glorifying God to be breaking the law by using someone’s copyrighted music...

Well enough gloom and doom.. Last evening I had to get off here for awhile and went to the garage and piddled for awhile with my little red bellied Ford tractor and finishing mower. Got two flat tires on the mower.. LOL What is that old saying about, ‘if it weren’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all’? LOL Anyway, God has been good to me through it all and He and I will get this all straightened out before long. It will just take time, some patience, and understanding....

Romans 11: 34, 36
[34] For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller?
[35] Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
[36] For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

You and I do not understand the intricate pattern of the stars, their positioning nor the reason for the size difference nor their rotation or courses, but we know that God, who created them does, and that just as surely as He guides them, He is charting a safe course for us. Often times I have wondered why certain things have happened just as they have and I am sure you have to. Haven’t you?

And I am afraid that often times we question God as to why he has chosen to make a certain direction change in our lives. Don’t we? Only to find out further down the road that it was in our best interest that God’s chosen direction in our life was for our own good. I am likewise afraid the with lack of understanding comes, sometimes harsh judgment as to the intentions of God. Maybe we should try and question less, and trust more. I believe that might be the true unveiling of understanding.... Well Glory!

My Sins are Covered

Good Morning Everyone,

I surly do hope that your Friday is going great for you and that your looking forward to a wonderful weekend. Well, we survived another birthday yesterday. Boy did I have a terrific day. Connie girl made me my favorite desert, Pumpkin pie and I received some great presents, several phone calls and lots of great cards (some by snail mail and many from you all. I am so thankful and praise God for giving me another year to be His servant.

Jimmy was my chauffer and we left after lunch for Bowling Green to Radio Shack and I got a RCA Stereo Radio with five disk CD player. Had to rest on the benches a few times but made it just fine. We then stopped by the music store and Jimmy bought me a guitar stand and then took me to Eric’s to visit. My little 3 year old grand daughter sang happy birthday for me (several times) and then Jimmy took me to Capt. D’s for a fish supper.

We then stopped by the tractor place and I drove this 5610 Ford Tractor that I have had my eye on for awhile.. New paint, new tires and only 2500 hours on it. I believe it would make a great addition for the Bar-K-Ranch since I sold the 175 Massey this summer.. For those of you who are new, my doctor has restricted me from driving. (smile) Jimmy and I didn’t get home until around 8:30pm. When we came in Connie said I had a package come in the mail. It was from a lady on my e-mail list, Mary in Wisconsin, and she had sent me some lovely gifts.. Jimmy helped me set up the new radio and I sat up until after 2am listening to gospel music.. Well Glory!

Psalms 32; 1, 3 -- 10, 11
[1] Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
[2] Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
[3] When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

[10] Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
[11] Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

I am so thankful that my transgressions have been forgiven and that my sins are covered. And what a thrill to know that I am a child of the King, saved by His grace and kept by His power. Aren’t you? Or do you have trouble making this statement? You see, the sins which we as Christians and saved children of God commit have been imputed. I looked this word up in the dictionary and it states; tr.v., -put•ed, -put•ing, -putes. To relate to a particular cause or source; attribute the fault or responsibility to: To assign as a characteristic; credit:

In other words, as we talk and pray to God each day, we ask Him to forgive us our sins. This is not to be saved over again but to keep us in a close relationship with Him and our daily sins are not accounted against us. For Jesus took all of our sins upon himself when He shed His Pure Blood at Calvary and we are not attributed with them or responsible for them. They have been assigned to Jesus and we have been set free from them. Well Glory! And this is why I am so happy this morning and every morning.

Everyone of us have our valleys to go thru, our bad days when things seem to just go wrong, our mountains to climb but even tough we are in a daily struggle, it is God who lift’s our spirit and puts a song in our hearts. We may get knocked down occasionally but then the Holy Spirit burst forth from down deep in our soul and lifts us up and puts joy back into hearts. Are you in a struggle today? If so, lift you eyes to Heaven and praise God. Rejoice, for the love of Jesus lives which is instilled in your heart, and shout for joy. For we are not as the lost souls in this world with no hope but children of God. Lift high your voice to heaven and sing. And remember, God doesn’t listen to whether your on key or not. He listens to your heart... Just sing! Well Glory!

He says; 'Just Pedal'

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Yea, I am a little bit slow getting this thought out to you today. (Smile) Monkey and Jo, Cindy, Dianne, and Jimmy came this morning an we been busy doing what we do best.. Just a gabbin’. LOL Jimmy and I played the guitars some and I have run the maintenance program on this pc today. Boy, did I have it lockin’ up last night. What a mess.. Well. it’s about 97 degrees on the back porch and Fort Campbell is on the move today.. Those big C-47’s, I think that is the right name, have been flying right over the tree tops and rattlin’ the windows. I guess they are on maneuvers or something... It always make me wonder what’s is going on...

I’ve been dizzy today, kinda wobbly, and using my cane but haven’t passed out so far.. Had some bad chest pains when I got in bed last night so I guess I had better slow down some.. (smile) There just seems like there is just so much to do and I feel the urgency to get them accomplished as soon as I possibly can. Connie has gone to pick up Will and Kourtney from school. She told me to sit right here until she gets back.. hmmmm I don’t have a problem with that.... (smile)

Jimmy and Kim are going to the recording studio in Nashville to record some more on her new country music album... They have called in academy award winning musicians for her.. Kenny, her recording manager, believes with her voice that she is going to become a singing star and is going all out for her. It sure is a hard ole road though and Connie girl and I naturally worry about her, Jimmy, and the children. I guess that’s what parents and grand parents do best now, isn’t it? ((((Smile))))

I am going to take my thought from a letter I got from Bill the other day.. I have been saving it but I feel the Holy Spirit would have me use it now... I Know this is going to be a tad bit long but I truly believe you’ll receive a blessing from reading it.

PEDAL

I used to think of God as my observer, my judge, keeping track of the
things I did wrong, so as to know whether I merited heaven or hell when
I die. He was out there, sort of like a president. I recognized His
picture when I saw it, but I didn't really know Him.

But later on when I met Christ, it seemed as though life were rather
like a bike, but it was a tandem bike, and I noticed that Christ was in
the back helping me pedal. I don't know just when it was He suggested
we change places, but life has not been the same since I took the back
seat to Jesus, My Lord. Christ makes life exciting. When I had
control, I thought I knew the way, but it was rather boring, but
predictable. It was the shortest distance between two points.

But when He took the lead, He knew delightful long cuts, up mountains,
and through rocky places and at breakneck speeds; it was all I could do
to hang on! Even though it often looked like madness, He said "Pedal!"
I was worried and anxious and asked, "Where are you taking me?" He
laughed and didn't answer, and I started to learn to trust. I forgot my
boring life and entered the adventure. And when I'd say, "I'm scared",
He'd lean back and touch my hand.

He took me to people with gifts that I needed, gifts of healing,
acceptance and joy. They gave me their gifts to take on my journey, our
journey, my Lord's and mine. And we were off again. He said, "Give the
gifts away; they're extra baggage, too much weight." So I did, to the
people we met, and I found that in giving I received, and still our
burden was light.

I did not trust Him, at first, in control of my life. I thought He'd
wreck it, but He knows bike secrets, knows how to make it bend to take
sharp corners, jump to clear high rocks, fly to shorten scary passages.
And I am learning to shut up and pedal in the strangest places, and I'm
beginning to enjoy the view and the cool breeze on my face with my
delightful constant companion, Christ.

And when I'm sure I just can't do any more, He just smiles and says; "Pedal."

Romans 13: 11, 12
[11] And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
[12] The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

I Chronicles 28: 20
[20] And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

Ecclesiastes 9:10
[10] Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

I would apologize for the length of this but it is just to rich to shorten it. A couple of points. First; as a child of God we must ALLOW Him to have the center of our life and ALLOW Him to guide us in EVERYTHING we do, no matter what the task might be nor which direction it might lead us. Just hang on to Him and pedal. Keep on keeping on and enjoy the ride...

Second; Christians have been asleep for so long now, especially here in America. It is time for you and I to awake! We have and are still allowing the few ‘ungodly ones’ to dismantle the complete structure in which this nation was built. The night is far spent and the return of Christ is even at the door. Are we or have we come to the point of no return? I truthfully can’t answer that but we must, each of us as individuals, strive to rectify the mistakes of our complacency. We, you and I, as God fearing men and women MUST take back this country for the Kingdom of God. For without God this nation, as we know it, is truly doomed to fall. And GREAT will be the fall of it.

Thirdly; Not only must we do it now BUT we must do it with all our might. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

In conclusion; The time is short for many of us to tell a lost and dieing world about Jesus and His saving grace. WE can and must stop worrying about stepping on the Satanic toes of those who hate God and boldly speak in behalf of our Lord. WE must remove those in leadership who have duped a nation into believing that God has no power to stop them... WE must let our voices be heard around the world, by our actions and deeds, that God is still the Great I Am and we are going to follow Him not only as individuals but as a collected nation of Christians...

Are we to late? For the sakes of my children and my grandchildren and for your children and your grandchildren, I pray there is still time to, as a nation, repent and place God back at the helm. Back into His rightful place as Lord and King.... I am going to do all, in the power of one, that I can but I implore you to join with me in multiplying that power of one into the power of millions in reaching the goal of turning this nation around. Truly the statement, ’ United we stand, divided we fall’ must become applicable and germane in every Christian’s life... And let us not forget the last sentence of the story; “And when I'm sure I just can't do any more, He just smiles and says; “Pedal.” Well Glory!

'I am Thy Servant'

Good Morning Everyone,

My what a lovely Monday it is this morning. I’ve been watching the hummers flying around the flowers and on the back porch. Tried to put some gas in Connie girl’s lawn mower but the gas barrel is empty... Now how did that happen? Connie got a mechanic to fix the Huskavarna mower last week and he is fixing her Murry mower now and should have it back sometime today.. Yea, the Murry is the one I worked on.. LOL I was going to make it a four wheeler and had taken the deck off.. LOL

Oh Well, so much for my mechanical abilities.. I didn’t think it could be fixed,
(((Sly smile))) Well now, Here comes the fella with the Murry Mower up the hill now... All I can say now is from a famous quote; “The difference between Failure and Success is Doing a Thing Nearly Right and Doing a Thing Exactly Right.”

I guess this evening I am going to get the land pride mower out of the shed and help Connie girl mow the yard.. We gotta get some gas first though.. hee hee.. I cranked up the little red belly Ford tractor this morning.. I know, I know , The doctor said for me not to drive anything including the pontoon boat or the tractor but errrrrrr, what can I say? I haven’t passed out for awhile now and really do need to do something out side, even if it is wrong... Sorry Janice, Please don’t tell the Doc. OK? LOL Oh, you all don’t know Janice... She is one of the office ladies at the doctors and is on my e-mail list.. (((smile)))

Oh, guess what? Jimmy brought Kenny, the fella who is making Kim’s country music record, over and he is going to make me 4 master CD’s of my ’Riding for Jesus’ record for only $100.00.. Isn’t that great? Kenny, Jimmy, and I sat and played guitars Saturday and sang some and before they left I gave Kenny my original master’s 1/4 inch mixing tape I had kept from the recording studio in Kansas.. And with the new CD programs I got last week for this computer I can burn, label, and package my own record and sell them. That is if I can ever figure out these mp3 maker, Print shop label creator and Memorex CD Label Maker programs...

I bought 50 blank CD’s, the slim jewel boxes to put them in, and all the blank labels to print and will burn the CD’s and make the labels as I get orders.. I’m so excited.. I must praise God for all His kindness and mercy. He is guiding me and opening the doors for me to continue in my music ministry. I am hoping to remake my, “My Songs of Praise” tape too and add a few more songs to it... I wish I could afford to go to the recording studio and just start from scratch on it.. But that will have to wait for now... I am just so thankful that God is allowing me to do this much...
Well Glory! What a great God I serve...

Psalms 119: 17, 20 ---- 124, 126
[17] Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.
[18] Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
[19] I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.
[20] My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

[124] Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
[125] I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.
[126] It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Being a child of God is a delight beyond compare but being a servant to Him is above all things a most humbling experience. As children of the Almighty God we are saved and going to spend eternity in heaven. But as servants, you and I need to be working for Him and telling this lost and dieing world about Jesus, the One who has given to us salvation form the burning pangs of Hell. As strangers and pilgrims in this earth, you and I are only passing thru. But as servants, this passing thru should and most assuredly could make all the difference to the many lost souls on that wide pathway to hell.. Should we not be as King David as he cried out to God? “I am thy servant; give me understanding“, “Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

In Proverbs 9: 10 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” Therefore, let us strive to get understanding so that we might have the wisdom with which will cause us to be faithful servants. After all, my dear little flock; God didn’t place us here for a mere existence but that we should be His tools, His faithful servants in reaching the lost with the gospel of Christ. Joshua 24; [15] And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Well Glory!

A promise from God

Good Morning Little Flock,

WOW! what a great day to be praising my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. As I sat here and began reading the mail I heard the song, ‘They Can’t Take Jesus From My Heart’ I just sent to you, and it hit me how great my Lord is and reminded me of this scripture passage found in;
Romans 8: 30, 39
[30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
[31] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
[32] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
[33] Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
[34] Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
[35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
[36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
[37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
[39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I can just see those early Christians in my minds eye and how they sang songs of praise with their faces full of love an peace as those Roman solders led them to be tortured in the arena’s and fed to the lions. Can you picture the cheering crowds as they led these faithful children of God out in the arena only to be silenced by these children of God singing praises to The King of Kings and Lord of Lords? Yea they could kill them but they couldn’t take the love of Jesus from them.

I’m so charged up this morning that I didn’t even start this thought out as I normally do. (smile) But the more we think on this revelation of the Love of Christ for us I just can’t think of anything else. Jump back up to our scripture and read it again only this time allow the meaning sink in... If God (the creator of the universe) can be for us, ( you and I, insignificant in the eyes of the world), then WHO can be against us? NO ONE could, can, or will ever be able to, prosper against you or I. Well Glory! Why? Because you are His child..

The question is asked, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Can the tribulation you find yourself in separate you. NO! Can the distress which seems to plague our very souls separate us. NO! Then what about the persecutions which all of us at one time or another have come across? NO! Or what about or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? NO! Paul said here that; neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, “ But more that just making this statement, Paul emphasized it by saying; For I am persuaded. hmmmm, Persuaded, what an interesting word. It means; “To cause (another) to believe or feel sure about something : To assure, convince, satisfy, win over.” Are you persuaded this morning? We need to be! And by the way I believe that this pretty well covers all of the bases doesn’t it? Not even Satan and his angelic host shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. And How may we be so certain of this? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all,

And just what does all of this mean to you as a child of God? It means that you and I are conquerors over this life but more than that; [37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. You mean there is more than being conquerors over this live? Yea, much more. For we which have accepted Jesus as Saviour and covered by His sacrificial ‘Pure Blood’ are therefore His Children and guaranteed eternity in Heaven. ( I Peter 1: 4, 5; [4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, [5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time ) We’ll have to look further into these verses in I Peter won’t we? But that is for another time. (smile) Let us digest this thought today and praise God that we are MORE than conquerors in this life. For we will one day reign with Him in Heaven and nothing, not anything nor anyone can change this fact. It’s a promise from God... Well Glory!

Wait upon the Lord

Good Morning Everyone,

As Tony the tiger would say; I hope that your day is going just grrrrreeaatt. It is 82 degrees and overcast here at the Bar-K-Ranch this morning. Slept like an ole bear last night and would probably still be in the bed if it weren’t or an ole fly deciding he wanted to homestead on my head... LOL By the time I found the fly swatter and sent him to fly heaven I was wide awake so just got a cup of coffee and stumbled in here... Nothing like a fly to jump start your day.. LOL

I was up until 2:30 this morning working n this pc but she is humming now... (smile) Funny how we term things isn’t it? She’s humming now? Why not he’s humming now? The other day I thought I must have had a female blond pc... LOL Not! But any way let me start from the beginning as I probably have you in a total state of bewilderment by now... Yesterday my little chauffer, Connie girl, took me to Bowling Green to return this, (incompatible ???) CD rewriter. If you remember I had stayed up until 5am Sunday morning trying to install the new CD burner.

I printed out 6 pages of system information and took it back to the store, along with my new CD burner and was going to return it and get one that would work.. Well the Lord sent this nice young man over to help me and I told him what I had done. He was polite and smiled but I know he must have been thinking that he had a big dummy on his hands for sure.. (smile) I told him I had a AMD Duron processor and the burner said a Pentium II or higher and I had a PCI IDE and the burner was for a E-IDE and he said that it still should work..

I explained how I had hooked it up several times and then he mentioned the slave. I said, yea I saw that in the book and looked and it was set on master... This very patient young man just smiled and explained that the CD player was the master and this new burner was it’s slave. He then took the little adaptor pin from the master slot and moved to the slave slot for me and told me that it should work now. So Connie girl brought me home and I tore this pc all apart again and stuck the new burner in and hooked it up. Popped in a Music CD and Walla, my pc recognized the new piece of equipment and it started playing..

I then made two back up CD gospel quartet tapes and made the labels for them and everything and they worked too.. I am ecstatic...(smile) Now if I can figure out how this mp3 program works I will re-record my gospel record to CD and make tapes of my singing... Not bad for an ole country boy, huh? Yea, God is so good to me.. He took my aggravation from Saturday evening and turned it into joy by using a polite and understanding young man to help me. WOW! I didn’t mean to write you all a book this morning. (smile) Oh, while I have this on my po’ ole feeble mind; I had only 2 bowls of soup yesterday and 1 glass of joggin in the jug. So my little dieter buddies I hope that you stuck with your diet and didn’t stray off into food land... (smile)

Psalms 27: 14
[14] Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalms 31; 19, 24
[19] Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!
[20] Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
[21] Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.
[22] For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
[23] O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
[24] Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

As we tackle the chores of life; as we strive to accomplish the task before us, whether it be repairing a pc, struggling with a diet, taking care of a sick loved one, or just being and doing the best we can at our job or workplace, let us ever look to God... When things don’t seem to be going as you feel they should, it is then the time to; “Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:” Have you ever noticed how when everything in your life is falling apart and your at the end of your rope, that God shows up and little miracles take place? I have often wondered why we struggle so hard trying to do in our own strength and landing on our face when we have God in our hearts. We could call on Him and would forego that hardship and worry. Why is it we prolong the frustrations of life when God is there watching our struggles and waiting patiently for us to just ask Him for intercession? Could it be that our hope is in ourselves? May you and I see this error of self, and put everything, all our hopes, in the hands of God. Everything! And when we do we can be of good courage for He shall as verse 24b states; strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD. Well, Glory!

Becoming Perfect In HIm

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Well here it is noon time and I just got back from the feed mill and weighing but I am not going to tell you right now what I weigh.. LOL Gonna keep you in suspense for a few minutes.. Yea, I am being ornery today.. I need to clarify something so you won’t think I told you all a story... The first time I weighed was last fall and I weighed 450 pounds on the nose.. At that time I could drive my little Dodge 1 Ton and not touch the steering wheel.. Through the winter I didn’t weigh but I gained because the steering wheel got so tight from my belly pushing on it that I had a hard time turning it.. (smile) Now I AM GUESSING but I figured I would have tipped the scales somewhere in the vicinity between 475 lbs. and 500 lbs. Ok, now that I clarified that;

Since I started dieting this spring I until 2 weeks ago I lost that weight and went to 427LBS. It was at this time I started the Jim Keeling Diet soup diet.. Two weeks ago I was 427 lbs. and one week ago I lost to 421 lbs. (6 lbs) and today I weigh??? Oh, no you don’t... Not yet.. hee hee I gotta keep you in suspense just a little longer..(((smile))) But first let me tell you all about yesterday... I just love this suspense thing.. LOL

Connie girl chauffeured me and Dianne to Bowling Green and I got some things for this pc.. A CD burner and some blank CD’s, and covers.. A Music program which I can convert .wav, real player, and other programs to mp3’s.. A CD Label Creator and a CD Label Maker program. Connie girl said that was my birthday present.. (smile) So before long I hopefully, and by the Grace of God, be able to burn some DC’s of my gospel record and Tape. ( ‘Riding for Jesus’ and ‘Jim’s Songs of Praise‘) and label them. I hope to make another CD as well if I can find some back up music.. The pc store also had a program called, “Magix Music studio 7” which cost $649.00 which allows you to produce your own records, just like the professional studios... I know that I’m dreaming here.. (smile) Maybe God will provide that one for me but for now I’ll make do and praise my heavenly Lord and Saviour Jesus for what I have.. Well Glory!

I Peter 4: 11
[11] If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Praise God! I now weigh 415 lbs.. that is another 6 lbs. lost.. Well Glory! (((Smile)))

I Peter 5: 10, 11
[10] But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
[11] To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

God has been so good to me and my family. I know that you can say that too, can’t you? I realize that some of you, as I am, are not in the best of health BUT GOD is still in control and we should be thankful for all He has given us, for; after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. We have all suffered thing in our lives but through it all there is ’Jesus’ taking us by the hand, lifting us up, and giving us comfort and strength.. And this should help us in becoming perfect, (meaning; of full age or grown to maturity) and should make us settled in our hearts and soul. It is at this point which you and I are able to Praise God in all things.. Well Glory Hallelujah!

Stepping up to the Plate

Good Morning everyone,

Wow! what a beautiful morning it is here at the Bar-K-Ranch. I just took a couple of pix of the turkeys in the front yard. They spotted me before I could take more and ran to the woods. (smile) It is 76 degrees this morning and going to be in the low 60’s tonight and this is my kind of weather for sure.

Yesterday I broke the doctors rules.. (((smile))) I went to the garage and took the deck off of Connie’s mower. She now is the proud owner of a 4 wheeler.. Hee hee A 10 year old Wal-Mart Lawn mower conversion...LOL The deck was shot but the motor run good, sooooooo adios deck... Guess I’ll have to get her a new mower now.. Yep, we’re headed to town in a little while to get another Wally World Mower.. (smile) I also drove the little red bellied Ford tractor all over the yard.. Wheeeee, what fun.... LOL

I’m not supposed to drive you know, Dr.’s orders, but you know me.. I don’t listen very well and it was just to pretty to stay in this house.. Besides, I had chest pains the night before and was up and down all night and I figured I needed to give my heart some exercise.. (smile) And besides that, Connie girl was gone and nobody here to stop me so I had a big day just piddling in the ole garage and riding around the yard.. LOL Yea, I know.. I’m a hand full huh? hee hee but God is good and I just loved it... Yea, I did..

I received this ‘Sales Pitch’ story from Ann, whom I thank, and thought it might be a great lesson for today’s thought. The Holy Spirit said to use it and I know it will bless you this morning.. (((smile)))

The Sales Pitch

A man came into a shop with a 'Salesman Wanted' sign in a window. He went up to the owner and said, "I-I-I w-w-waannn-t the j-joooob-b."

"I don't know if this job would suit you because of your speaking impediment," said the owner.

"I h-h-havvve a w-wi-wiiiife and s-s-s-six k-kkkids, iiii-I re-really neeeed thi-thi-this j-j-job!" said the man.

"O.K. Here are three Bibles. Go out and sell them." said the owner. So the man went out and came back an hour later.

"H-here-sss your m-m-money." said the man. The owner was impressed, so he gave the man a dozen more Bibles and sent him out. The man came back in two hours and said, "Her-ers y-yooour m-m-money."

The owner said, "This is fantastic. You sold more Bibles in three hours than anyone has sold in a week. Tell me, what do you say to the people when they come to the door?"

"W-welllll," said the man, "I r-r-ring the d-door bell, a-a-and s-s-say 'H-Hel-Hello, M-m-maaaaddam, d-d-do you w-w- want t-t t-to buy thi-thi-this B-B-Bible, oooor d-d-do y-you w-w-want m'me t-toooo read it t-t-t-t-to you?"

IICorinthians 6: 4
[4] But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

II Corinthians 9: 8
[8] And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

I Peter 4: 8, 11
[8] And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
[9] Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
[10] As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
[11] If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

There are lessons to be learned in many of the things we read and this little story is one of them.. Although it was meant to be funny I thought of Moses in the Bible who also had a speech impediment and felt insecure in spreading the words of God.
Exodus 4: 10, 12
[10] And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
[11] And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
[12] Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

I guess if we be honest with ourselves, each of us at one time or another have given excuses for not doing God’s bidding, haven’t we? And so the next time you feel inadequate to fulfill God’s desires in your life remember Moses and what God said to him, “Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
[12] Now therefore go,” And remember this, God would not ask you to do anything if He knew you couldn’t accomplish the task at hand.. And so you just step up to the plate and take the bat in your hand the next time God tells you to.. I guarantee when God pitches you the ball there will be a home run a coming.. Well Gory
