Good Morning Everyone,

Well here it is Friday and we’re getting ready for the week end aren’t we? I surely do hope that you all have a delightful week end. I don’t know what Connie and I are going to do but I can almost guarantee that there won’t be a dull moment. The 98 Chevy 4 door dully tags expire today and Connie has to go get some new ones. That bad boy is one expensive truck to own and operate.

About $1500.00 a year to tag and insure but it is super pretty and Connie loves her truck so I gave it to her.. My 74 Dodge 1 Ton cost only about $250.00 a year to tag and insure and takes me anywhere her truck will and is almost as pretty.... lol That Connie and I love our trucks. (smile) If you see a car on this hill, you know we have company. lol Well enough about trucks. Well here we are supposed to be talking about a religious thought and we’re talking about trucks.

But then it is the simple things in life, like painting an old truck and making it pretty or going fishing. or golfing or being on the PC or cooking fancy dishes or sitting on a park bench and watching the children playing or having a cookout with your family or watching the little hummers fighting over who is going to get their little beak into the feeder next, or seeing the baby horses frolicking and running in the fields, or just holding hands and taking a walk with your love. The simple things and doing them with the love of Jesus in your heart and looking for God in all the simple things surrounding us. In this is found true happiness.

I woke up about 4 this morning with this thought in my mind. It came in the form of a very simple little song and one you have all heard. ‘Jesus loves me this I know; For the Bible tell me so; Little ones to Him belong; they are weak but He is strong...
Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus love me, for the Bible tells me so.

I John 4; 11, 15 ----19
[11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
[12] No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
[13] Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
[14] And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
[15] Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
I John 4; 19
[19] We love him, because he first loved us.

As I heard that song going through my mind this morning I couldn’t help but feel sorry for all those poor theologians, scholars, men of greatness and wisdom who have the long titles behind their names, and are endlessly searching for the profound and hidden intricacies of the mind of God. Fighting and arguing over the different doctrines found in God’s Holy Word, the Bible. Who is right and who is wrong and missing the total simplicity of the love of God.
Jesus loves ME. Say it out loud. JESUS-LOVES-ME! ME! Jesus died for ME! Now you say it....Jesus died for ME. Why? Because He loves me...The Holy Spirit will open your eyes as you are able to bear and understand more of the Bible but sometimes I believe we need to get back to the basics. breath in, breath out. Jesus loves Me and I love Him. It doesn’t get any simpler nor more meaningful than that.

Good Morning Everyone,

Is your week going as you have planned it to? I certainly hope that it is and that it has been exceptionally good. (smile) Jimmy came by yesterday and Connie, Jimmy and I went to the garage and took off the 175 Massey tractor tire that was flat and he and Connie went to town and got it fixed.. Connie has been bush hogging and so far she tore up the bush hog and being I wasn’t able, my neighbor took it and welded it back together. Then she must have bush hogged a thorn tree up and ruined a front tire and we had to replace it.

Yesterday it was the other front tire. I am hoping not to have to replace it, just fix it but once thorns start working their way through a tire you might as well throw it away. Cost you more in flat tire repairs and frustration than just buying a new tire and tube... Oh, I could get into trouble here and talk about women drivers needing an army tank with steel tracks to drive so not to tear up anything, but you all know that I wouldn’t mention any thing like that.... hee hee ha ha ha LOL See, I’m a sweet and lovable guy.

After getting the tire back on Jimmy hooked up the disk and I followed him down to pasture in my newly painted 74 Dodge 1 Ton. Jimmy is wanting to put a riding arena down there in the fields.. I just wanted to see the new babies. We have 2 this year. There are so beautiful and I love to watch them with their little tails straight in the air as they prance around and run, frolicking and playing. I paid the price last night with these ol’ legs but it was worth it. They was hurting any way so I just gave em something to hurt for. LOL

Hmmmmm, I smell the coffee. I had made it and run in here to crank this up while it was making so now IT’S COFFEE TIME, Yea... Be right Back... WOW! just pat me on the back.. That sure is good coffee this morning. Listen, if you’re ever in this area, just drop in here at the Bar-K-Ranch and I’ll fix you the best cup of coffee you ever tasted. Why it’ll meet you half way across the room. hee hee Frisky this morning, aren’t we? LOL Ok, it’s a great morning to be alive so let’s see what Jesus has to make it a perfect day. Don’t you just love me for being so good to you? Did you vote today?

Romans 13: 8: 14
[8] Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
[9] For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
[10] Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
[11] And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
[12] The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
[13] Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
[14] But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Christ must be vitally real to us if we are to remain faithful to Him in our hour of crises. And who knows how near that hour may be? Things are happening fast! The need for a turning to God has never been more urgent. I know that we have a lot of fun each morning laughing and picking with one another and as Christians, we, of all people should be happy but we also need to realize that our closeness and relationship with Christ is imperative in this day and time.. Tell someone about Jesus!

Good Morning Everyone,

Can you believe that it is Wednesday already? My, Oh My, where has the time gone? I suppose that I am still in the Sunday mode. I did do Monday didn’t I? Do you ever have this kind of week? Don’t know from one minute till the next what in the world is going on? You know, that they say a goose wakes up in a new world every 15 minutes; well I believe the whole herd just, hee hee oops, they are called flock aren’t they? Well, by now you have the big picture, don’t you? Yea, Your on-line, what ever I am to you is losing it.... (smile) but have you noticed that it is being accomplished with a smile upon my face? If you going to lose it at least do it with a smile on your face. That keeps everyone guessing and somewhat confused. LOL

You will be proud of me for yesterday. Not that I didn’t put on a thought but that I managed to get out and went to town. All by myself. Took care of some business and got the pontoon licensed, which should have been done last April. But this morning you come first, and yesterday’s thought is question # 9 which I am still working on... But for today, we are going to talk about our bodies....Yea, that’s right I did say our bodies....

Oh! it is official. I went to the factory where they weigh tow motors carrying cardboard and stepped upon their scales. Those dog gone, lying, supposed to be totally accurate, digital new scales, said I weighed, I hate to even write it down, four hundred and fifty pounds on the dot. 4-5-0 LBS. Yuck! Can you believe that? 450 lbs is what? almost 1/4 of a ton. WOW! OK, so now you know why I’m loosing it, huh? When I became disabled in 1995 I weighed 330 lbs. hmmmm, six years and 120 lbs gained is only 20 lbs a year. Hey! I believe I can lose 20 lbs a month, don’t you? That means in six months, I could be back to the same weight I was before I became disabled..

Tell you what! I just happen to know that some of you are, shall we say, falling into the pleasingly plump category. Why don’t you and I lose our weight together? You can set a goal of how much you want to lose along with me and we will count those calories, and together waltz into a better physical condition. What do you say? Now think about it a minute, don’t just say, Yea, let’s do it and then eat a candy bar. Let’s really do it. I believe you and I together can. Don’t you? OH, Yea, and you slender people who deluge them selves in plate after plate of fattening food and never gain an ounce may sit on the sidelines and cheer the chubby section on, OK? Great. Now let see what kind of incentive God has for us, who are overweight, to lose.

I Corinthians 3: 16, 17 ------Romans 12: 1
[16] Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
[17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Romans 12: 1
[1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

These bodies of ours are intended to be temples of the Spirit of God. We are to present them wholly to God as a “living sacrifice.” Our dress, our posture, our actions should all be for the honor and glory of Christ. Let’s not defile our bodies with fat or tobacco or anything else unhealthy. I know that you and I can do this with a sensible and livable diet. What do ya say?

Well Glory! You will not in a million years guess what just happened...Dumb, dumb, dumb...Yea and I should know better. Ol’ slew foot Satan, I hope you get your tail caught in a meat grinder, Yea and a lot more that I had better not say right now, Wheeeeeee, what a ding bat. Boy, that just turns my crank and makes the blood boil.. 3 whole hours and I had just reduced the fonts to squeeze the last couple of lines on to the thought page and Kaboom! The electricity flickered just long enough to lose everything. eeeeeeeeeek, I would pull my hair out but I just don’t have much left as it is...OK, I’ll calm down. Let’s see what do I tell you all when things Blow up in your face? Oh, Yea, Basics... Breath in, breath out. Take a deep breath and breath in, and breath out. Whew! Maybe just one more. Deep, Deep, Deep Breath in, Breath out.. Yea, much better. I am going to get some pop. be right back... hmmmmmmm I sure am glad that you weren’t a little bird perched in here when all that took place. I have had that happen before and I know that I should save but I was so wrapped up in today’s thought I just flat out forgot... but Satan didn’t, that plug pulling varmint...

Ok, back to work. I hope that I can remember all the references I had. Boy were they some really good ones. hmmmmm, My mind is as blank as a June pea in December.. I gonna take a break. It is 3: 15 and my legs are hurting again..

Well, I’m back. Now there are some new people on here and I guess you are probably wondering what in the world is going on.. sorry if I have frightened you. I have these little fits every so often and most of my 140 e-friends know that I get excited some times (smile) I probably shouldn’t vent on here but I am kind of like an open book any way and besides if the truth were known some of you probably have a fit once in a while too.. Especially messing with these computers, not to mention ol‘ slewfoot.. lol

Well, I had planned and almost had question # 9 answered but I think I will restudy that tomorrow. I am about out of it now so you won’t be getting much from me today.. Oh, while I am thinking about it; if any of you new comers would like to have a copy of the questions study page I would be happy to send it to you.. just write and put “questions study page” in the subject line

Romans 8: 18; 26; 28
[18] For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
[26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Affliction can be a means of refining and of purification. Many a life has come forth from the furnace of affliction more beautiful and more useful. Affliction may give us strength and develop us a Christians. In vs.26 we find the Holy Spirit within us is actually God, praying, and groaning through us. Thus we become co-laborers with God, actual partners with Him. For Christ is the answer to sadness and discouragement and we must just cling to the truth that all things work together for good to them that love God. And that is you and me.. Yea, Well, Glory!

Good Morning Everyone,

We missed Sunday on my site but I need to not have a day missed for this book so I would like and with your permission use this for today’s thought. On the days I have to miss these make up are gonna be sort of short and sweet.. Mostly because I don’t remember what I did on the missed day but more than likely I was too sick to be on here, which was the case Sunday.. (smile)

Romans 11: 26, 36---- vs 33 being our text verse. This set of verses reveals that Israel is yet to be saved nationally..

Romans 11: 26, 36
Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
[27] For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
[28] As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the [26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
[29] For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
[30] For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
[31] Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
[32] For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
[33] O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
[34] For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller?
[35] Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
[36] For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

You and I do not understand the intricate pattern of the stars, their positioning nor the reason for the size difference nor their rotation or courses, but we know that God, who created them does, and that just as surely as He guides them, He is charting a safe course for us. Often times I have wondered why certain things have happened just as they have and I am sure you have to. Haven’t you?

And I am afraid that often times we question God as to why he has chosen to make a certain direction change in our lives. Don’t we? Only to find out further down the road that it was in our best interest that God’s chosen direction in our life was for our own good. I am likewise afraid the with lack of understanding comes, sometimes harsh judgment as to the intentions of God. Maybe we should try and question less, and trust more. I believe that might be the true unveiling of understanding..

Good Morning Everyone,

I am either very, very, late for Saturday’s thought or very, very, early for Sunday’s. By now you probably think I am one of the goofiest people you have ever come across on the net or anywhere else for that matter, huh? You might even say that I am kind of like the weather. Even with a weather report you just never know what you are going to get. hee hee.. A little bit of rain one day and the next day some sunshine. And every once in a while a whirlwind. lol. Well, first let me say I am sorry about yesterday but it was a bad day for me and I just sat in my big chair, covered up with two blankets in the living room and never even came in here or even got up to eat at the table. It is 4:30 am now and I am a little better, so here we are. (smile)

The Lord gave me this an set my mind a buzzing so I jumped up made some coffee and want to get this on paper before I lose it.. Oh, yea, so we don’t lose a page for my up coming book let make this a late Saturday, OK? Sunday’s will be a little later on...

II Corinthians 5; 17, 21----6: 1, 2
[17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
[18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
[19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
[20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
[21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
II Corinthians 6: 1, 2
[1] We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
[2] (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

In the news, on the radio, the movies, in books, everywhere and in everything you see around us is crying out. ‘The time is close‘. It won’t be long now before Christ calls His children home. And I look around at all the things going on in the world today, I see so many who are hopelessly lost with out a clue as to what is about to take place. People in such a hurry to go nowhere. Their lives filled with insignificant goals of worthlessness and missing the only true meaning of this life here on earth.
What good is reaching our earthly goals if we miss Christ and Heaven? How can I open the eyes of the lost person? I feel so compelled to reach the lost person today, for tomorrow may not be ours. Today, even these next few hours or even minutes may be all you have to make this choice. Will you accept or reject Jesus Christ as your Saviour? HELLO! PLEASE, WAKE UP!
Why not, right now, believing in God, ask Jesus to forgive you your sins, accept Him as your personal Lord and Saviour, and then ask Jesus to come into your heart and save your soul.

Good Morning Everyone,

Wow! what a lovely morning we are having here at the Bar-K-Ranch. It has been raining and the hummers are racing up and down the porch. It is 73 degrees out side and overcast but just sooooo nice to be alive and seeing all of God’s wonder today...Jimmy has stopped by after work this morning and Connie fixed us a great breakfast of ham and eggs, biscuits and coffee.. We then got into my birthday chocolate cake and polished it off. Is that what you call a wild breakfast or what? lol
Well, any way we have had a big time this morning talking about building a riding arena to have horse shows in. Connie called about the prices of fencing and posts. I guess that the Bar-K-Ranch isn’t gone down the tubes after all. Connie and Jimmy have some big plans, especially after that little black filly was born the other day.

OK, now let’s get started before my long winded self runs out of room again.. lol. We are still on question #8. Yesterday was having knowledge but not accepting and still lost in sin. This person is bound for the devil’s hell of fire and torment. Even though he may have belonged to a church, had been baptized, belonged to the Boy Scouts, the PTA or whatever. He could have been the President of the USA or a pauper in the streets. Knowledge is not enough. The only way is by the Pure Blood covering of Jesus.
Sorry, had a legs, pain timeout. It is now 4pm and I just got up. hmmm Satan must not want you to see today’s thought at all but as soon as I can focus on this, versus hurting we will continue.

Ok, dear child of God , here is where we are at this very moment; Our soul, which is sinless because of the Pure Blood covering of Christ (Hebrews 10: 14; [14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.) and sealed by the Holy Spirit ( Ephesians 1: 13; [13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, but housed in a body which must be, because of sin, (Romans 6: 14, 15; [14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. [15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. brought under daily subjection, (Romans 7: 15, 17 [15] For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. [16] If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. [17] Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. Galatians 5; 16, 18; [16] This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. [17] For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. [18] But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. And so we must confess our sins daily; I John 1: 7, 10 [7] But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. [8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. [9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. [10] If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. What is it to “walk in the Light” is explained by vs. 8-10. “All things... are made manifest by the light.” (Eph 5: 13). The present of God brings the consciousness of sin in the nature (v.8) and sins in the life (vs. ( 10). The blood of Christ is the divine provision for both. To Walk in the light is to live in fellowship with the Father and the Son. Sin interrupts, but confession restores that fellowship. Immediate confession keeps the fellowship un broken... And should I die with un-confessed sins, How do I know I will go to Heaven? Because our sealed soul is kept by the power of God. Period! And this is, A Fact!
(I Peter 1: 3, 5) [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, [5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. [9] Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

I had to reduce this font to get it on here and I hope that you can see it ok. Tomorrow Question # 9. There is just so much Bible to try and cram on this one page but just one vs. clenches a fact..

Good Morning Everyone,

My Oh, My, What a delightful response to my birthday request yesterday. The voting looked good across my tally sheet this morning. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, and for all the lovely cards.. I will be answering your letters in a little while, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise... I don’t believe I am going to venture out at all today after seeing the heat index of 102 degrees.. no way, Hosay
Connie has taken the old computer that I blew up down to Eric’s. He knows somebody at school who said that they would try and fix it. Maybe then Connie will want to learn how to work the pc.. She likes to play hearts or solitary on here sometimes but that is about her limit.

I hope that you have enjoyed our little Bible study. I know it has made me do some digging. I’ll know that certain verses are in the Bible but my po ol’ mind won’t co-operate in locating them. My memory has never been very good even before I got to be this age and I get things turned around, like in typing, ( can ) I’ll type cna. or (with), wthi, or (that) taht (you) oyu, etc... Thank goodness for spell check... lol Ok, enough of that let see where we are today, OK?

Question # 8. If Christ hung on the cross as our sacrifice for today’s sin. What about tomorrow’s sins I commit?
Hebrews 10: 26, 31---------38, 39
[26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
[27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
[28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
[29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
[30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
[31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

[38] Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
[39] But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. Read also II Peter 2 19, 22

A lost person has no knowledge but then he hears about Christ and the finished work that Jesus performed on the cross. He is happy in this knowledge but not saved, not born again. He realizes he should follow the ten commandments because of the moral content found therein. This person, although he may be a morally good person has never been forgiven of his sin. He may have his name on a church roll and baptized but he still hasn’t been born again and saved. He is still lost. He is religious but lost. He has not been forgiven today’s sin nor tomorrows. This person may not realize it but he has trodden under foot the Son of God and has counted the Blood Covenant of Jesus an UNHOLY thing in Vs. 29. He does not fit into the category of verse 38, (just shall live by faith) Jesus has paid the price for his sin but he hasn’t accepted it. These people confuse the saved. They are the hardest to reach because they think everything is OK. And when they seemingly fall back into sin, which they were never out of , nothing happens to them. To be continues tomorrow!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Here we are half way through the week already and over half way through the month and today I am 57 years old being this is the 22nd day of August. Thank you for the birthday cards and I hope that you all, And let me stress that little word ALL will go to my thought page and look on there and click all, hmmmmm there is that little word again, (ALL), the 5 voter buttons...It will take a minute to do that, it might even take two minutes to do that but don’t you think that I am worth a couple of minutes since this is my birthday today? That will be your present to me because I am such a sweet guy........ hee hee And you might find out how much fun it is to vote for me and want to vote every day...

Yea, believe it or not I do keep up with the votes each and every day. Ex. for today this morning. total Cross Daily 3727 votes, ranking # 1 in the evangelistic catagory (# 20 out of 2496 personal sites), but in the overall top 19,239 Christian sites, I haven‘t ranked yet. I have 5.28vote average and I need to get to 7.08vote average, as of now to be it the top 100 Cross Daily sites. Now in the Top 1000 Baptist, rank =59 with 91votes yesterday; Christian Magazine, rank =113 with 108 total votes; Christ Sites today = opps, I didn’t get on there but for the week I am rank 17 with 21 votes. That isn’t too good... and lastly The Church Guides top sites I am # 6. Well those are my standings so far. This is where I am going to break this letter.. Those of you on my mail list will understand because I am going to send you the rest of this in a separate mailing.....

For My Thought today we take up question #7. How can I be dead and alive at the same time?
Galatians 2: 19, 20.
[19] For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
[20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Romans 6: 11, 14
[11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
[12] Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
[13] Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
[14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Being dead and alive at the same tie can be a terrifying experience at times. But as children of God we must kill the deeds of the flesh daily and allow the Holy Spirit have His way in our lives. This is something which each of us face each and every morning and all throughout the day. Every time a temptation is before us and a choice must be made between doing the right thing and walking in the Spirit or allowing this carnal body come to life and fall into a sinful condition. We must make choices. And sometimes we don’t kill the desires of the flesh but instead grieve the Holy Spirit within us. These are the times when God chastens (punishes) us to bring us back into alignment with Him and we are awakened to the fact that we are His and He will not tolerate our sin. It is then we repent and return into the fellowship and relationship between Father and Child. Hebrews 12: 1, 12 Please read this passage...

Good Morning Everyone,

Just a special prayer for this morning that God will lift your spirits and put a cheerful song in your heart. Look out side for a minute and no matter what the weather is at your house, be it sunny as it is here or rainy, or maybe just overcast, thank God that you are able to see the splendor of His creation. I pray that God will give you a joy and peace down deep in your soul this morning. Regardless whether your physical body is feeling great or you are in pain.
I pray that if your mentally down, maybe discouraged or even depressed that God will flood your soul with remembrance of Jesus and how He suffered for you on the Old Rugged Cross and when we look at the ‘bottom line’ we really don’t have anything to be down about. We are just on a short journey now and even though sometimes it may not seem short because of problems that build, soon we will step across into that glorious light and into the waiting arms of Jesus... Guaranteed, no problems, no pain, no sadness will be there. Now don’t you feel better?

Great, now that we are feeling better let’s see if we can answer the next question.
# 6. Why is the body destroyed and what does that mean?

Hebrews 9: 27, 28
[24] For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
[25] Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
[26] For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
[27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
[28] So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Scofield note;
Death, physical, Summary: (1). Physical death is a consequence of sin (Gen. 3: 19). and the universality of death proves the universality of sin (Rom. 5: 12, 14 ). (2). Physical death affects the body only, and is neither cessation of life nor of consciousness (Hab. 2: 5; Lk. 16: 23; Rev. 6: 9, 10 ). (3). All physical death ends in the resurrection of the body.
See “Resurrection” (Job 19: 25; I Cor. 15: 52). (4). Because physical death is a consequence of sin, it is not inevitable othe redeemed (Gen. 5: 24; I Cor. 15: 51, 52;
I Thes. 4: 15, 17). (5). Physical death has for the believer a peculiar qualification. It is called “sleep” because his body may be “awakened” at any moment (Phil. 3: 20, 21;
I Thes. 4: 14, 18). (6). The soul and spirit live, independently of tje death of the body, which is described as a “tabernacle” (tent), in which the “I” dwells, and which may be put off (2 Cor. 5: 1, 8 cf. I Cor. 15, 42, 44; 2 Pet 1: 13, 15). (7). At the Believers death he is “clothed upon” with a “house from heaven” pending the resurrection of the “earthly house,” and is at once “with the Lord” (2 Cor. 5: 1, 8; Phil. 1: 23; Lk. 23; 43). As to the death of Christ, see Matthew 27: 50.... Literally, ‘dismissed His Spirit.” The Greek implies and act of the will. This expression, taken with Mk. 15: 37; Lk. 23; 46; John 19: 30, differentiates the death of Christ from all other physical death. He died by His own volition when He could say of His redemptive work. “It is finished” “No man taketh it from me but I lay it down of myself” (John 10: 18)..... Good Morning Everyone,

Well, here we are on a beautiful Monday morning and I trust that you had a wonderful weekend. We had a big one. Yesterday was a little bit shaky but ended up on a good note. (smile) Boy! what a beautiful morning it is out side. The baby hummers (humming birds) are flittering and fighting like mad over the sweet nectar in the feeders. Ethan, the little baby Connie is sitting came crawling over to me and wanted me to pick him up. hmmmm I must not look so scary this morning.. lol and I did pick him up and showed him the hummers and the fish... (smile)

It is early yet and I am going to try and get this ready now and then later this afternoon publish it. Mostly because I was so late yesterday and want to give everyone a chance to see yesterdays... Some meat in that thought for sure...I have a preacher friend, Harold Kelley, in Pennsylvania that I haven’t heard from in a long while and I am going to see if he is reading these thoughts. If you read this Harold, drop me a line... If I don’t hear from you I’m coming to Pa. with an ugly stick. LOL

I have been printing these thought to make a book next year and I guess that it is a good thing because I can’t remember where we were on the questions... Ok, we were talking about putting off the old man and putting on the new man last Friday and I was going to summarize it over the week end but missed that window of opportunity.

Ephesians 4: 22, 24
[22] That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
[23] And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
[24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Now we have run into a dilemma. As a Christian one has repented of his sin, he has accepted Christ as Saviour, and received the Holy Ghost and has been sealed. He has put off the old sinful man and put on the new man free from sin, or sinless. The dilemma is this; within our body shell lay two natures. One nature of flesh, which will pay the death penalty for sin and the other nature, spiritual having a sinless soul because it has been washed by the blood of Jesus and cannot be taken away from you, sealed,(John 10:24, 30; Eph. 1: 13---4: 30; I Peter 1: 3, 5; Jude 24) Now, this person finds himself in a daily battle deciding which nature he is to follow that day. (Romans 7: 7, 25) He now is a split person. His sinful body which will die and a sinless soul which will live in a new glorious body one day in Heaven.
Romans 8:
[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
[2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

There are actually 2 condemnations implied here. 1. Because of sin the body is condemned to destruction or death. 2. But no condemnation is found for the soul which is sealed by the Holy Spirit and is in Christ Jesus. I just can’t make it any simpler than this. Once your soul has been washed by Christ’s blood and sealed, it belongs to Him and is a done deal. Don’t miss tomorrow!
We are talking about why this body will be destroyed and what it means. Lord willing.

Good Evening Everyone,

It is now 7:25pm and I have just gotten out of bed. I didn’t think there was going to be a Thought for today but the Holy Spirit gave me this a minute ago and here I am. Today is Sunday, the first day of the week, the day we as Christians have chosen to worship Christ as Christ Chose to worship with His, the first church, as was confessed by Peter.. Praise God we are no longer under O.T. law but under grace.

Matthew 16: 13 , 21
[15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
[17] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
[19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Scofield Note;
There is in the Greek a play upon words, “Thou art Peter [petros---literally, a little rock’], and upon this rock [Petra] I will build my church.” He does not promise to build His church upon Peter, but upon Himself, as Peter himself is careful to tell us. ( I Peter 2: 4- 9) .
[4] To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
[5] Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
[6] Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
[7] Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
[8] And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Church= Gr. ecclesia ( ek = “out of,” kaleo = to call” ) , an assembly of called out ones.
The word is used on any assembly; the word itself implies no more, as e.g., the town meeting at Ephesus (Acts 19, 39), and Israel, called out of Egypt and assembled in the wilderness (Acts 7; 38 ). Israel was a true “church” but not in any sence the New Testament church ----the only point of similarity being they both were “ called out” and by the same God. All else is contrast. Acts 7: 38
[38] This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: and Hebrews 12: 23
[23] To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Jesus is the [Petra] Rock and founder of the church. And the same Rock is my Lord and personal Saviour. And if that doesn’t put the end of this day on shouting grounds, you had better do a self examination of the heart. Yea, I’m a child of the King and Heaven Bound. WHEW! GLORY!

Good Evening Everyone,

I hope that you all are having a wonderful day and that your week end is going just great for you. We have had everyone come by today. I hadn’t even got my teeth in when the first company arrived this morning. lol I had to scramble so as not to scare them plum to death. Oh, yea, I hadn’t combed my hair either... There ain’t very much hair but I missed the last two hair cut times and it really looks like a bear for sure. LoL Let’s just say that I would make someone’s day in a dark alley. hee hee For sure..

Well, let’s see what else, (smile) Ok are you ready for this? Jimmy came while I was in the shower and Connie, Eric, Jimmy, and Kourtney left. Don’t remember where they went but gone none the less. I came out of the shower and poor Will was sitting in the kitchen floor looking out the window. The little lad was all tore up because everyone had forgot all about him...So he and I came in here and we were going to put my thought on together...Hello! more friends came and we had to stop.

Well, after a bit everyone came back and no thought on yet. By then I had had several senior moments and wasn’t sure what my name was much less able to concentrate enough to sound like a person wrote something with a sound mind.. lol The 2 o’clock deadline was rapidly approaching and knowing it takes 2 to 3 hours to even write a thought and publish it, I could see that My Thought for Today may never make it...

Oh yea, I went to the garage and tried to start the 49 Chevy Dump truck to go down into the fields. Every one wanted Connie and me to go down there.. Well I hadn’t run it since spring and the Battery went dead an no start. Jimmy drove his truck and I just stayed here and put some door molding on the 74 Dodge 1 ton since I was up at the garage anyway... hmmmm Kim and Kourtney just pulled up. lol I’m back.

Oh, when they all got back from the fields Connie took me down the road to where the camper is parked and low and behold. Standing beside Velvet was a beautiful, solid black filly. She looks healthy and I am tickled pink about it.. I thought that the mare was just too old to have another baby. She lost the last 2 and I had given up on her but God hadn’t. What a Blessing! Well, anyway, that has been my day and it is 6pm. now and more company coming in a few so I’m trying to beat the rush again...LOL

Psalms 100: 1, 5
[1] Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
[2] Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
[3] Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
[4] Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
[5] For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Christ is the answer to sadness and discouragement. He can put a spring in your step and give you a thrill in your heart and a purpose in your mind. Optimism and cheerfulness are products or knowing Christ. The spring in my step today came from seeing that little black filly miracle.
When is the last time Jesus has blessed you and put a spring in your step and a thrill in your heart? Just knowing Jesus should put a thrill in your heart. Everything else? Well, Glory!

Good Morning Everyone,

Well we have survived another week in the fast lane. (smile) I have to go to the doctors in a little bit to get these stitches removed and I am going to be hard to keep up with till next week when I get another chuck taken out of my back... Last night after it cooled down I sneaked out to the garage and glued that rubber seal on the 74 Dodge truck doors. I was going to take a pix and send out but the wheels need painting for it to look good yet.. Won’t be long now though and you will get to see it.

Ok Let’s jump right in here and talk about the new man. If you remember day before yesterday we discussed the old man. How that he is our flesh or carnal body and that we needed to put him off and kill the deeds of the flesh. This is a daily battle we must face each and every day as a Christian. We must put on the new man and walk in the footsteps of Christ.

Ephesians 4: 22, 24
[22] That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
[23] And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
[24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Scofield Notes:
The New man is the regenerate man as distinguished from the old man and is a new man as having become a partaker of the divine nature and life
((((2 Peter 1: 4; [4] Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Colossians 3: 3, 4; [3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. [4] When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory))) ,
and in no sense the old man made over, or improved ((( II Corinthians 5: 17; [17] Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Galatians 6: 15; [15] For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. Ephesians 2: 10; [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Colossians 3: 10; [10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:)))

The new man is Christ, “formed” in the believer ((( Galatians 2: 20, 21; [20] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. [21] I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 4: 19; [19] My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,[27] To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: I John 4: 12, 13; [12] No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. [13] Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.))))

I will try and summarize up to this point tomorrow and hopefully finish the other 5 questions next week. I hope that you are enjoying this study and that I’m not confusing anyone.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am getting this out terribly late today. Got up early this morning and was working on the guest books and writing thank you’s. Don’t understand how a person can get so far behind. But I had been working about 3 hours when these ol’ legs went to acting up again so I had to lay down and the next thing I know, WOW! It is 3: 30 in the afternoon.. After several hours of rolling around and a nap the pain is bearable so here we are. hmmm, the ol’ bear is bearable but just barely... is that a rhyme?

You will never guess what that Connie and I did yesterday after I finished in here? One of the Amish called and said that they had some just picked peaches and Connie asked me to go with her to get some. So we took the 74 Dodge and while we were out we also stopped by and saw Naomi’s new baby girl. Her name is Katelyn Rose and she weighed 6 lbs. and 13ozs and has black hair and a cute little button nose. I’m going to be her adopted, Pa Pa... (smile)

After we left there we stopped by my son Jimmy and Kim’s on the way home. Kim had just finished making supper. Jimmy was still in bed and hadn’t gotten up yet. He has been working 12 hours on the graveyard shift. Kim said that the steaks came in a package of 3 this time so she had opened two packages which left 2 over and asked if Connie and I were hungry. hee hee you think I would turn down a steak? Not in a million. lol She had grilled them and were they tender.. There was also baked potatoes and corn on the cob, with orange sherbet and ice cream for desert.

The odd thing was, Kim didn’t know we were coming and we didn’t know we were going, it was a spur of the moment kind of thing, and she said that she never fixes that much extra but that it had just turned out that way. I told Kim that the Lord wanted to treat Connie and me to a tender steak and used her to bless us with one.. (smile) You see, I haven’t eaten at Jimmy’s and Kim’s but 3 or 4 times in all the years they have lived there and this was like a special made meal...
After supper we sat out side and Will and Kourtney, my sweet little grandbabies showed Connie and me their new kittens.. Any way it was a big, big, day for me.. I guess that I over did it again and now I am paying the fiddler... (smile) But the blessings more that over ride the pain today.

Psalms 128: 1, 4
[1] Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.
[2] For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
[3] Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.
[4] Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the LORD.

There is a song which goes, “Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your blessings, see what God has done.” God blesses His children every day and you and I as His children should be counting and praising God for all of the love He shares with us each day. I am afraid that sometimes we forget where our blessings come from don’t we? Don’t we sometimes put the big I in the way? I did this or that, I bought this or that, I, I, I, when in actuality you and I should be thanking God and giving Him all the Praise. Not for just the big things but for the smaller things like a steak supper you didn’t know you were going to get. Thank you Dear Jesus.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Here is it a wonderful and comfortable 90 degree, sun shinny day. There is a nice little breeze out side and I actually went out to the garden, bare foot, (smile) and pick 2 cabbages. Just in time too because all the little bunnies are eating on them. Those little rabbits don’t realize that I love to hunt or at least, use to love to hunt but it has been years now. hmmmmmm At least I won’t have to walk very far to hunt for my rabbit stew and they should be nice and fat after eating in Connie’s garden all year....

Well you’ll never guess what? Connie has made me a big bowl of cold slaw, fresh from the garden.. She put some carrots, celery, onions, and vinegar in that cabbage I picked, and just enough sugar to keep me sweet.... Probably didn’t need the sugar though... hee hee ha ha ha ho ho ho lol.. What? You don’t agree? What do ya mean, add more sugar? Ok, Ok, I’ll be good..

Let’s see, just where did we leave off yesterday? Oh, yea, question #5
#5. What is the old man? From our text it was, Romans 6: 1,7 vs. 6
[6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Notes from Scofield, pg.1198
The expression (old man) occurs elsewhere, in Ephesians 4: 22 [22] That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and Colossians 3: 9, ( [9] Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
and always means the man of old, corrupt human nature, the inborn tendency to evil in all men. In Rom. 6: 6 it is the natural man himself; in Eph. 4: 22; Col. 3: 9 his ways. Positionally, in the reckoning of God, the old man is crucified, and the believer is exhorted to make this good in experience, reckoning it to be so by definitely “putting off” the old man and “putting on” the new
(Col. 3: 8-14.
[8] But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
[9] Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
[10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
[11] Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
[12] Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
[13] Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
[14] And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
See Eph 4; 24, note 3).
[24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Tomorrow we will touch on putting on the new man and hopefully Friday, we’ll summarize the old man verses the new man. I pray this study enlightens our understanding more...

Good Morning Everyone,

Well here we are off and running this week.. I do hope that you all are enjoying these question answer sessions. Soon we will be back to normal, if there is such a thing for me... My normal seems to not be so, as compared to others...lol But if you think about it for a minute, if everyone were exactly the same, wouldn’t this be a boring place to live... I just love to bring excitement into your life each day.... lol

Ok, now where did we leave off yesterday? Yes it was Ephesians 1: 7, 14.. Well let me add just 1 more Ephesians 4: 30, 32 and this is the walk of the believer as indwelt by the Spirit.
Ephesians 4: 30, 32
[30] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
[31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
[32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Note from Scofield;
The Holy Spirit is Himself the seal. In the symbolism of Scripture a seal signifies:
(1) A finished transaction (Jeremiah. 32: 9, 10; John 17: 4 ---19: 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.)
(2) Ownership ( Jeremiah. 32: 11, 12; II Timothy 2: 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.)
(3) Security ( Esther 8: 8 Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's ring: for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may no man reverse. Daniel 6: 16, 17 16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee. 17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Now that we have established that we have been purchased by Christ, saved, and sealed, we can now know that we are not going to Hell. I John 5: 11, 13
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Well, Glory! I got so excited that I didn’t get to question #5 today.. You may want to print some of these for the references a little latter. I have had to go digging for some of these. I don’t remember where things are located and sometimes have to really hunt for them. I’ll know they are there, but the main thing today is seeing that we can know we are going to Heaven. Not a maybe so, or a I’m trying hard to, or I hope so salvation, but a definite, emphatic, and unequivocal YES, I'm Heaven Bound!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I trust that you all had a wonderful weekend. Things went ok at the Bar-K-Ranch and out side of these legs hurtin today everything looks great. The sun has been shining and a good breeze blowing , 91 degrees, and the sky is the clearest, and lightest shade of blue today... Aaron just came in from school and Connie has made him a cup of coffee. He thinks he is big for a first grader. (smile) We also have Ethan, the baby Connie is sitting and the phone just rang and Naomi, Our little Amish friend has just had her first baby. It is a little girl...

Well I got up late today and am getting a terribly late start. Connie wanted to look and see it we could find an Appaloosa horse site of some people here in Ky. and we did.. Don’t ya just love those spots? Now she just hollered and said that the coffee was ready if I wanted to come and get some...hmmmmmmm be right back...lol

Yummy, good coffee and I even got a Hershey’s candy bar. Yep, I’m gonna be hyper in a minute or two. Just wondering, does Hershey’s fall into the diet candy category? Well I think that it surly must. hee hee I just ate 3 of those little candy bars... a Mr. Goodbar and two Special dark.. Now that we have had that chocolate and coffee break let’s see where we are OK? After eating all that candy I really hate to go to these next two questions.....Questions # 3, and 4
# 3 Does that mean I am going to Hell because I sinned today? Nope! What about tomorrow? Nope!
# 4 Am I going to Hell tomorrow? A definite, NO! More on this tomorrow, OK?

Ephesians 1: 7, 14
[7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
[8] Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
[9] Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
[10] That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
[11] In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: (have obtained = a done deal.)
[12] That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
[13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
[14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. earnest = guaranteed inheritance, purchased = we have been bought.

Well, I don’t know about you but I have repented of my sins long ago and have accepted Jesus as my Saviour. Jesus saved me and came into my heart to live. So I now have the Holy Spirit inside of me and He has sealed me until the day or redemption... by the way, the word sealed in the Bible has a very significant meaning... The kings in Bible times had a ring with their seal on it and when they would send a special dispatch they would close the envelope, put melted wax on it and press their ring into the hot wax, leaving their official seal embedded in the wax. No one was allowed to open that letter but the one to whom it was intended for...A person could be killed for tampering with that letter. I am not going to be opened until I am delivered to God in Heaven. Saved, sealed , and Heaven bound....

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope that this last week went well for you and that you prospered and moved forward in Christ. Either we are climbing the steps of knowledge and growing in God or we are stepping down and forgetting what we have already learned. I am praying that you have grown this past week and in a closer relationship with Jesus.
Proverbs 1: 5, 9
5. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: 6. To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. 7. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. 8. My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 9. For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

I hope that you haven’t lost our questions... Reference from Romans 6; 1, 7

#2. You and I sin every day don’t we? Why?........ I suppose that before we may establish an answer to this question we must determine what exactly is sin.
Romans 3: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
footnotes from Scofield: Sin is trangression, an overstepping of the law, the divine boundry between good and evil (Psalms. 51: 1; Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Luke 15: 29),
iniquity, an act inherently wrong whether expressly forbidden or not:
error, a departure from right (Psalms 51: 9; Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.; Romans 3: 23)
missing the mark, a failure to meet the divine standard;
trespass, the intrusion of self will into the sphere of divine authority ( Ephesians 2: 1;And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; );
lawlessness, or spiritual anarchy, ( I Timothy 1: 9; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, ),
unbelief, or an insult to the divine veracity (John 16: 9; Of sin, because they believe not on me; ),
Sin originated with Satan (Isaiah 14: 12, 14); entered the world through Adam (Romans 5: 12); was, and is, universal, Christ alone excepted ( Romans 3: 23; I Peter 2: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.) ; incurs the penalties of spiritual and physical death (Genesis 2: 17--3: 19 ; Ezekiel . 18: 4, 20 ; Romans 6: 23) ; and has no remedy but in the sacrificial death if Christ ( Hebrews 9: 26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
; Acts 4: 12) availed of by faith ( Acts 13: 38, 39 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39. And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.). Sin may be summarized as threefold: absence of righteousness, a nature, enmity toward God....

The answer is yes, We sin every day. I John 1: 8,-- 1:10 8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope that you had a delightful day yesterday. Well here it is Friday already and another weekend ahead. I have been in bed almost all week except long enough to do this but not long enough to answer any mail. I sneaked in here yesterday and looked to see what mail I had and there were over 300 letters...hmmmm I am going to send you a questionnaire that I have prepared. It is to print out and work on when you have a minute or two. It isn’t out of a book or anything like that. It is a Jim Keeling one. (smile) You won’t be graded and it is for your own gratification. Just a little study guide to work your mind in the scriptures. After each question write in a brief answer and the Bible scripture references. They are from yesterday’s thought.....

Because of space let’s just jump into question #1. Some of these questions may also help the Sabbath day worshipers. Sabbath as found in the Encyclopedia;
Sabbath [Heb., = repose], last day of the week (Saturday), observed as a holy day of rest by the Jews. Early Christians observed the first day of the week in commemoration of the Resurrection; hence Sunday became the Christian Sabbath.
Reference for first day of the Week worship;
Acts 20; 7, 8---------I Corinthians.16; 1, 2---Read also Colossians 2:14, 17
[7] And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
[8] And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
I Corinthians.16; 1, 2
[1] Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
[2] Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come

#1. Our question for today; If you are dead to sin why are you still sinning?
When Jesus died as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins and arose from the dead He fulfilled the Sabbath day laws. There are no more animal sacrifices for sin. When we repent of our sins and accept Christ as out Lord and Saviour, we are no longer under the law but of the Grace of God as found in the New Testament. We are born again and saved. We are filled with the Holy Ghost and our soul is sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise. Ephesians 1: 13---4: 30 As Christians, we are no longer under the law. Our soul being sealed by the Holy Spirit is sinless but is housed in our fleshly body being sinful. But we will receive a new glorious body like His when we meet Him in the air. I Corinthians 15: 47, 58
Romans 8: 1, 3-----8, 10 -----Read also Romans 6; 14, 23
[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
[2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
[3] For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
[8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
[9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
[10] And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Ten Questions

Romans 6: 1, 7
[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
[3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
[4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
[6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
[7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.
This is so rich and I could write a book on just these 7 verses. vs.2 If you are dead to sin why are you still sinning? You and I sin every day don’t we? WHY? Does that mean I am going to hell because I sinned today? What about tomorrow? I will sin again tomorrow. Am I going to hell tomorrow? Baptism is a like figure, (a picture) of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. How do I fit into this picture?
vs. 6. What is the old man? Why is the body destroyed and what does that mean? vs. 7 How can I be dead and alive at the same time?
And here is a biggie. If Christ hung on the cross as our sacrifice for today’s sin. What about tomorrow sins I commit? Will Jesus have to get hung and sacrificed again so I can be forgiven those sins? If Jesus doesn’t come back, does that mean I am going to hell because there isn’t any more sacrifice for my sins? I don’t know how much longer I am going to be able to feed you, so tomorrow we start answering these questions. 1 x 1

Good Morning Everyone,

I guess I am kinda of like Gene Autry this morning, singing ‘I’m Back In the Saddle Again’ and so happy to be back...I missed you yesterday and hope that you have the same feelings about me. I noticed that Baptist Top 1000 is getting it back together too. (smile) By the Mercies and Grace of God perhaps we will not miss any more days with my thoughts. I feel like I am going to have to stick an air hose in my ear to blow out the cob webs. (smile) This ol’ mule has been out of harness, 3 out of the last 6 days and is chomping at the bits to get to plowing.... (smile)

Just a short up date. Doc doesn’t want me to be at this desk unless I have my feet up on top of it with the keyboard in my lap. At approximately 450 LBS there is no way this poor little chair could with stand that kind of pressure nor my legs so I am going to have to limit my time here... Doc took out a large hunk from my back and is going to send it in to see if he got it all. I am going back in Friday to check the stitches.

He bent a needle while trying to stitch me up and said I had some very tough skin and I told him it came from being so hard headed and he agreed that I was that too. lol Well anyway I have another spot on my back now and he is going to bypass the biopsy and just cut out another large chunk, as soon as he removes these stitches, and try and get it all in one cutting. I don’t know if he is going to be able to keep up or not because there is a couple of more spots that have started itching and that is the way these started.. Between the pains shooting up and down my legs and these itching spots, I’m having a hard time knowing if I am coming or going or if I done been there... LoL

Well that’s enough about me. Let’s see what God has for you today, to lift your spirits and encourage you;

Romans 6: 1, 7
[1] What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
[2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Good Morning Everyone,

It seems as though I have misplaced a day between Sunday and today. I hope that you have missed me and that my disappearance didn’t go unobserved. (smile) I haven’t answered but one letter but I will try and do better as I am already 4 or 5 days behind and in a little bit I go to the doc’s and get this Melanoma cut out of my back..

I did manage to get a thought yesterday but never sent out or put it on my site because by the time I managed to have it ready to publish it was night time. The last few days have been kind of rough for me and I have had to lay around with these legs propped up. They have been giving me fits but God is in control and everything will turn out just like it is supposed to. (smile) I did notice that the voting was way down and I guess that the old adage comes in to play here, out of site out of mind.

Oh, I realize that the Baptist Top 1000 isn’t working and hasn’t been for about a week now.. There has been hackers getting on the net and going to Christian sites and putting a ‘Jesus inside’ and enter’ on there and when you do it takes you to a porn site.. It was on the Baptist Top 1000 about a month ago but somehow the hackers had changed all the links to the different church sites to a porn site. When I saw what had happened I wrote them and they were off for about a week straightening it all out. I guess that has happened again.

But now the hackers are going to personal sites with their devilry as well.... KyLady4 has been visited and is all tore up about it which is understandable. But praise God Andrea, that your site was deemed a worthy Christian site to be attacked... For the devil would not attack his own... Doesn’t the Bible say that in the last days perilous times shall come? Isn’t this what we are seeing and witnessing personally?

I Thessalonians 5: 1, 10
[1] But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
[2] For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
[3] For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
[4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
[5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
[7] For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
[8] But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
[9] For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
[10] Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

When we as Christians are attacked we want to fight back don’t we? Doesn’t our minds sometimes become filled with revenge and even hate for those who attack us as we serve our Lord and Saviour? Let not evil overtake your thinking, for the victory is already ours. As Christians we should rejoice that we are considered worthy of such attacks. Praise God and remain faithful to His Name for our rewards await us in Heaven.. Glory Hallelujah!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Before we get started on today’s thought I just wanted to thank you all for writing and for the prayers, support, and your concerns... I have scanned the mail this morning and have read the ones from you all that are on my list.. I will be trying to answer all of them today as best as I can. If I miss you today I will try and get you before I go to the doc’s tomorrow.. I just haven’t been up to doing the mail and I hope that you will be patient with me....

Well here it is Monday again and everyone is bright and chipper today.. At least I hope that is your case. Yesterday Connie and I went for a little ride and we had a really good day. I even treated her to a hot fudge sunday at the dairy dip. (smile) It wasn’t exactly diet but sure was good anyhow. The one thing that I noticed as we cruised through the country side was how dry every thing is..

Do you realize that it won’t be long before fall. The trees are already taking on that dark dying green look they get just shortly before they change into their array of fall coloring. I also noticed that many of the tobacco fields have already been cut, the corn was dried and ready for harvest. The beans aren’t ready yet but it won’t be long... Harvest time is here, isn’t it?

Mark 4: 26, 29
[26] And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
[27] And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
[28] For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
[29] But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

John 11: 25, 26
[25] Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
[26] And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Just as nature teaches that plants must die to reproduce and therefore live on, so must we. And just as we look upon the fields around us an see that harvest time is almost here so is our time to be harvested---almost here. The return of Christ for the child of God is so close. As we look around us we see that all of Bible prophecy is quickly being fulfilled. And so what is our hope, yours and mine, based upon?

What makes the Christian different from the rest of the world which has no hope?
The hope which the Christian possesses is so simple, yet so profound. Our hope is based upon the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christ is, even at this moment looking upon the fields, white to harvest. The time is near! The question is, Are you Ready?
Note: This thought never made publication on my site. I was just to sick and didn’t complete it until almost bed time...

Good Morning Everyone,

I must apologize for missing yesterday. We had a house full yesterday and I mean it was busy, busy here. My sister brought mom and 5 of her grand children, Eddie was here to clean out our stalls in the barn, Emma, Naomi, the boys, and Marvin, were here Then Connie’s Aunt and one of her Grand babies came.

But before every one got here Jimmy brought over his tractor and bus hog and needed me to weld on his bumper. I went out side and we jacked up the truck and I crawled under the truck and welded a little bit. The pressure from being down on my legs got to much but I wouldn’t quit trying. I finally had to stop. I am to bullheaded to stop because of my legs but my welder quit working. Jimmy carried it to the garage and we took it apart and cleaned it. We took it back out and it started to weld and it blew up.

By then my leg was leaking pretty bad and hurting like the devil. I spent the rest of the day in my easy chair with towel under me leg to catch the fluids... As it all turned out Eddie, the young man cleaning my barn had a welder and so Connie took Jimmy’s truck down there and Eddie welded it up and only charged $10.00 If I’d of known that I would have took it there to start with. (smile) By the time everyone else showed up I was out of it and just sat there till bed time..

I have just been pushing too much. Trying to get my 74 Dodge done and some of the other things before Tuesday.. I go in to have that Melanoma spot removed from my back and I know that I won’t be able to do much for awhile.. Now you know what a hard head this ol’ preacher can be. hmmmmm Just one thing. Don’t you think it strange that my faithful ol’ welder blew up at that particular moment in time? If it hadn’t quit on me I would have fought it through and the way my legs are today I am glad that it quit. I was doing some real damage to them...

Romans 8: 18, 19 -------Romans 8: 26, 28
[18] For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
[19] For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Romans 8: 26, 28
[26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
[27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Yep, it sure is strange that my welder chose to blow up, just when it did... or is it? It being better to lose my welder than my legs. This was an expensive lesson but I am thankful that the Holy Spirit was watching out for me. If I get better, the welder can be replaced. How many times has the Holy Spirit made intercession for you and kept you from harming your self? Sometimes God sends angels to keep us from being harmed after the Holy Spirit has groaned on our behalf. What happened yesterday was so obvious that I don’t believe anyone could deny it was of God. I for one surly can’t. The next time something strange happens in your behalf, Thank God for the Holy Spirit’s intercession.

Good Morning,

I missed this day in publication for my site and also for my email sending out. But I didn’t want to miss a thought day for my book if I do manage to get this published into one.. Don’t want your calendar to be lacking a day. (smile)

The Cross is the only place where we can find forgivness and have eternal life because Christ when to the cross in our place and gave His life for you and for me. Because Christ lives, I live also if I am in Him and he is in me.

Good afternoon Everyone,

Well I did it again, slept in my easy chair till 8:20 this morning, woke up to pain shooting up and down my legs. After four pills I got into bed and didn’t get up until 12:30PM.. The house is quit so I guess that Connie has gone to town to get my medicine and take mom to the doctors. Oh, not to worry, I am feeling better now and the pain is dull and not too bad. Just enough to let me know that everything is still connected. The Doc said one of these days he’ll have to take this leg so I not complaining. Guess that I had better enjoy it while I can, HUH?

Anyway, Connie made some great coffee this morning and here we are together again, looking forward to a great weekend and now getting ready to explore the Bible and see what The Holy Spirit has for us to ponder over today. I don’t know about all of you, but I really do enjoy our time together every day. I just hope that you do too.

I have been trying to have this published by noon each day but sometimes my body just won’t cooperate so Now I try and have my thought on by 2pm. I won’t make it today though, (smile) Kinda of keep you guessing when I will show up don’t I? hee hee See, you turn on your pc and there I am, smiling and waiting for us to share some time together. Some days we laugh together and some days we cry together. Some days we worry about each other and wish there was something we could do to ease the pain or suffering one or the other is going through.

Some days we share a joke and some days we share a story that brings tears to our eyes. We feel the love of God as we become inspired by His Holy Word as we share it together. Some days I stare my pc screen and read a prayers request or something that you have written and I can feel the pain in your words and the hurt that you are feeling. As I pray for you tears run down my cheeks and I wish that I could be with you face to face and hug you. I know that you also feel that way sometimes, don’t you?

Matthew 18:20----II Thessalonians 4: 16, 18
[20] For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
I Thessalonians 4: 16, 18
[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
[18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Together we have bonded, and shared and even if we can’t be together physically we trust in the Holy Spirit to comfort one another. Isn’t it amazing that we share so much together every day. Think about it a minute. We come together from all around the world, meeting together every day. Different nationalities, races, and countries represented. But here we meet together and fellowship every day.. Sharing our love for one another and our love for Christ, united together as Christians. Now really, doesn’t that just kinda blow your mind? The true joy comes in knowing that one day you and I will spend ALL OF ETERNITY TOGETHER. And I for one am looking forward to being with you! If your not a Christian and would like to be: Write me and I will lead you into the waiting arms of Jesus! Only by accepting Jesus can you be born again..

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope that you enjoyed your little Jim Keeling holiday yesterday.. I believe Jim Keeling enjoyed his a little bit to much as late as this is getting on here today. (smile) I did have a big day today though. I went to Greenville to the bank., that is about 30 miles, and on the way back I stopped by my friend Bobby’s to see what he has been up to.. He is in a wheel chair but he likes to tinker with old cars like I do.

He has a 1953 Chevy that he has all slicked up. I sat out in his garage and had a soda pop and we talked cars, what else... lol Any way that rascal has air conditioned his garage and so I didn’t get in much hurry there. A visit in my garage would last about 2 minutes. It is like a sauna , about 120 degrees.. lol From Bobbies I went to Hopkinsville to get some parts for my Dodge and change the oil..

I managed to get a few parts but had a rough spell, scared the owner, and we decided I had better head for home and hunt the rest of the parts later. I was to shaky to get the oil change so I guess that I will try it another day. I took a cold shower as soon as I came in and drank a little apple juice and am feeling better now.

Today may not sound like much to you but for me it has been a big day... This is the first I have drove to town by myself in several months and I took the 74 Dodge and it doesn’t have power steering and can really wear you out... I am glad to be back home in this cool air. I may take a little nap in ye ol’ easy chair in a minute... Just wanted to share with you and today talk about the Holy Spirit..

Romans 5: 1, 5 --------Romans 6: 26, 27
[1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
[2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
[3] And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
[4] And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
[5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 8: 26, 27
[26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
[27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

What a joy to know that the Holy Spirit lives within our hearts and guides us and intercedes for us. The great evangelist D. L. Moody said, ”I believe firmly that the moment our hearts are emptied of pride and selfishness and ambition and everything that is contrary to God’s law, the Holy Spirit will fill every corner of our hearts.”

Good Morning Everyone,

For those of you who are fortunate enough to have a 9 to 5, Monday through Friday go to work place, you may now jump for joy... this is hump day for you and you are on the way to a week end of fun and relaxation. And of coarse, worship. Yea. For the rest of you poor souls who must slave, day in and day out, week end and week out just forget it. There is no rest for the weary... Or at least that is what we have been told and have heard all of our lives... Come on, is it or is it not what you have heard???

So just crawl over to the water cooler and break open the bottle of aspirin and take 4 or 5. Oh, on your way back to your work spot, if you have been diligently working very hard, you may poor a cup of coffee but hurry and slurp it down...We must show a production for our boss.. Yuck! What in the world are you thinking? Well Guess what? I am declaring this a Jim Keeling holiday for you. You are in a rut and you have been in a rut for awhile, haven’t you?

The first thing we must do is kick off your shoes and go get in the grass. Now, Wiggle your toes..... AHHHHH, doesn’t that feel good? Now whisper,
G-L-O-R-Y and thank God for the grass. Take a deep breath-----let it out slowly. Now take a deeper breath........hold it.........let it out very slow....Now say very softly, G-L-O-R-Y and thank God for your lungs and the ability to breath. Do you feel silly standing there in the grass, barefooted, taking deep breaths, and mumbling to yourself? OK, Look around and see if anyone is watching.. Is There? Hmmmmm.

There is some one watching? So what! whisper G-L-O-R-Y and thank God that you have eyes to look around with...beginning to feel better yet? I thought so.. I believe this could be contagious. Just so the people watching you won’t think that you’ve lost it, plaster a very big smile on your face.. Yea, you know one of those ear to ear grins.. Oh, look, some little wild flowers peaking out from under a bush. Let’s smell them, OK? WOW, I never thought those little flowers would smell so sweet..
You know what? This is kind of fun isn’t it? Just say it out loud, GLORY! And thank you God for the beauty that is all around us... I feel so much better, don’t you?

Matthew 6: 20, 21------- 11: 28, 30
[20] But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
[21] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 11:28, 30
[28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
[29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
[30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Take a deep, deep breath and let it out very, very, slow. Listen, dear child of God.
We all have to work and make a living. Don’t we? But not to the point of neglecting all of the splendor and wonder of God’s creation. Where are you laying up your treasure? Here on earth or up in Heaven? Why not do as the scripture says? Look up to heaven, and hand all of your burdens over to Jesus. Have you done that? Then Praise God and thank Him that your soul is covered by the Pure Blood of Jesus and Sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. WELL, GLORY!
