Is Your Name Written in:

Scripture text; Rev. 21: 23, 27   
Date: Sept. 26, 1999

My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will touch our hearts with His love and understanding as together we grow in His Grace. Amen.

Before I begin I wish to thank you for allowing me to come into your private place, (home, office, or where ever you are viewing this). I feel privileged and honored that you have chosen to spend your time with me.

Rev. 21: 23, 27
23. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26. And they shall bring the glory and glory and honour into it.
27. And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Father, I humbly pray that You bless these feeble attempts, by Your Holy Spirit, to reach a lost and dying world. To feed, by Your Word, the saved, and to encourage those who might be afflicted with the persecutions of this life, whether it be physical, financial, or just the trials of every day living. Father, You know that I am disabled now and no longer able to physically go out and sing and preach and I haven't understood the "Why" of it until I began making this web site to praise Your Holy Name. All I knew was that you had called me to preach and sing. Now, by the guiding of Your Spirit, I realize that my afflictions have been and are to this purpose and I praise you that I might suffer for the cause of Christ. Please touch the hearts of those who you send this way and lift their spirits that the lost might come to a saving knowledge of Christ and that the born again believer might renew the peace, the joy, and the love which only you can provide. This I ask in the precious name of Jesus. AMEN.

You know I have been pondering as to how I was going to do this sermon page ministry. I have been on line for only a few months and I am green as a gourd when it comes to html, building a web page, and all of the other aspects that go along with it. Being self taught, I have spent several sleepless nights figuring out how to put this together and I am not sure even now if I will be able to get this to you.
I have said all of this to say; Thank You from the bottom of my heart for coming by and visiting with me and I hope that you will come back each week and let me share with you what God has laid upon my heart.

So we can see by our text that you and I, unless we are saved and have our names written in the Lamb's Book of Life, will not enter in to the kingdom of heaven. Which leads me to a very interesting question;

IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM, JUST WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GO? HELL?

Well I have had people tell me that they were going to go to hell and be with All their friends but let me tell you, according to The Bible, that those who are in hell today do not want you there with them.

Let me tell you a little story. This last month I was playing spades on Yahoo and we were chatting back and forth as we were playing ( Many of you have probably done this). I must have said/typed something about Jesus and my partner flew in an instant rage. He cursed me out ( in typing) and we stopped the game right then and there. So I began telling this person about Jesus, he said he was a Satan worshipper and that Satan was his god. He also stated that he wanted to go to hell. I explained to him about hell and testified about God.

The other two players just waited while this fellow and I pounded out messages back and forth on the keyboard. I quoted scriptures and told him that I felt sorry for him and just wanted to help him, all the while he cursed me. I figured that he world leave at any minute but he didn't. This took place for the space of about 45 minutes. I guess that one of the other players went and told some people what was going on in our game room, because at the end of that time we had quite a few kibitzers (folks who don't play but just watch). At the end of that confrontation, my partner had quit cussing, softened, and thanked me for talking to him and said that he world look up the scriptures I had given him. He said his grandmother had been trying to get him to read the Bible but he had rebelled. He said he didn't have his own Bible but he knew his grandmother had been praying for him too so he said he would read hers... I told him he was fortunate to have a grandmother like her... He said he going there right then and his name went blank on our screen. 

Praise God for saintly Grandmothers... I don't know the results of that young man but I hope that he finds Christ.

The moral for that day was not the fact that I had won or lost that game of spades but the fact that I had an opportunity to take a stand for God. I also realized that I can be a messenger for God in every aspect of my life. And what better playground than the informational web net highway.

There are so many deceived and hurting people in the world today and Satan is winning a lot of battles but HELL is a very real and present place. Misery may love company here on Earth but a true friend would not wish this fate on you. A good example is found in Luke 16: 19, 31. I may address this text next week. If that fellow doesn't accept Christ before he draws his last breath here on Earth, he will have an eternity of weeping and whaling with his friends. The Bible records Satan's eternal destiny in Rev. 20: 10; "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophets are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever".

Yes, hell is a real place that has been prepared for those who have never accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour. If YOU fit into this category then this is your DESTINY as found in;
Rev. 20: 11, 15, which states:

11. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14. And the death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

At this point you might be saying to yourself; OK, I can see, by the scriptures, that hell is a real place, I also realize that I don't want to go there but what must I do to be saved?"

First, with all the sincerity which you possess, you must realize that you are a sinner in need of a saviour. And then repent, asking God to forgive you of all your sin.

Romans 3:23;
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God:"

Romans 5:12,
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

Second, Believe, that Christ died for our sins.
Rom. 5:8
"But God commended his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Third, Realize that salvation is a gift, you can't work, earn, or buy it. Romans 6:23,
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Forth, Ask Jesus, (pray to him in your own words) to come into your heart and save you.
Romans 10:13
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Fifth, State the fact and then tell somebody,
Romans 10:9, 10
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

If you have done this, the bible tells me that in faith you are saved and born again.
I would suggest that you begin reading your bible and learn more about being a Christian.
I always suggest starting with the book of John in the New Testament. But talk (pray) to God every day and just let the Holy Spirit begin leading you each day and watch what wonderful things he will show you. My Purpose and Goals for this section of the I'm Heaven Bound site.

The purpose is two fold:
First, I hope to reach a lost and dying world headed to a devils hell by spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that some might become saved, born again children of God.
Secondly, I hope that the messages will be spiritually uplifting to those who, for whatever reason, are not able to attend the church of their choice.

My Goals:
Since I have become disabled, I have found that I must be churched be means of television or radio. I have used these means since 1995 and I enjoy them. The problem? God called me, in 1981, to preach and sing I have done missionary and evangelistic work until I became disabled and not doing this has left me void of purpose in life.
Now, thanks to cyber-technology I feel that God would use me once again to be his servant. If the reason for my disability were to this end, then I Joy in my infirmities. Well Glory!
