Good Morning Little Flock,
I do pray that the Holy Spirit bless you this morning and open your eyes
to this Bible truth by removing the blinders which Satan has placed on so
many heads. I’m not quit sure just where to start and to some it will seem
to be the babblings of an old man. But to those for whom God has intended,
it will be a blessing of spiritual wealth and wisdom... What I have to
tell you isn’t about Baptist or any church doctrines, it isn’t about
religion but a simple truth from the Father...
I awoke from a dream early this morning and sat for a time in my ole easy
chair just reading my Bible in the Gospel of John, chapter 13. My dream in
part we this: I was in this very large church but no one realized my
presence.. I moved about unnoticed as more or less an observer and
sometimes hovering above the audience.. The building was under repairs and
the preacher was preaching words of the world, eloquent and captivating
but not of God...
A balding man then stood and prayed but while his words were beautiful to
the listener they never reached two feet above his head and it was then I
tried to sing praises.. As I lifted my voice the new air conditioning
system kicked on and white asbestos which had collected in the duct work
blew out all over the people and I chocked on the dust.. As I looked I
could see the white dust covering my arms and I looked across the crowd
and into the balconies and all the people looked as though they were
covered in the snowy white powder... The people never heard the truth of
the song I was trying to sing. They had been blinded and covered with the
white dust of this world. It was then that I awoke knowing that this
people, though religious, knew not God.
I’d like to tell you this little story about a little monkey... No, I
haven’t lost it and I’ll put this all together in a minute as the Holy
Spirit leads me, so please bear with me. (smile) It seems that this little
monkey had a piece of fruit in his hand and he saw some men coming to
capture him so he hid behind a tree and watched them. They had a basket of
ripe fruit and in a knot hole of a tree they placed one big juicy piece of
this fruit and then left... They knew that the monkey would be curious and
sure enough the little monkey dropped the fruit from his hand and went to
the tree and reached in and took a hold of the juicy fruit in the
knothole.
The knothole was just large enough for his hand to reach in but not large
enough to retrieve the fruit and so there he stood holding on but not
being able to get his prize. When he saw the men returning the monkey
began screaming and yanking but as hard as he tried couldn’t get his hand
back out of the knothole in the tree... If he had let go of the juicy
fruit he could have pulled his hand out of the knothole and escaped his
captors. But he held on and the captors put a collar about his neck and he
would never know freedom again. And this, by the way is how the natives
capture monkeys in the wild. Now if you would, read John Chapter 13...
I’ll highlight a couple of verses for you and hopefully make some sense
out of all this...
John 13: 1, 8 -- 26, 29.
[1] Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour
was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father,
having loved his own which were in
the world, he loved them unto the end.
[2] And supper being ended, the
devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son,
to betray him;
[3] Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and
that he was come from God, and went to God;
[4] He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel,
and girded himself.
[5] After that he poureth water
into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with
the towel wherewith he was girded.
[6] Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost
thou wash my feet?
[7] Jesus answered and said unto him,
What I do thou knowest not now;
but thou shalt know hereafter.
[8] Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet.
Jesus answered him, If I wash thee
not, thou hast no part with me.
[26] Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have
dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot,
the son of Simon.
[27] And after the sop Satan
entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do
quickly.
[28] Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
[29] For some of them thought,
because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those
things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give
something to the poor.
Now for the dream.. The large church represents America with the false
religious leaders, the preachers, who have duped the American people into
believing we are a godly nation. But it is all about greed and power ( the
repairs of the church) and love of money and not God. The man praying
represents the leaders of this country who have passed the laws which
remove God from all aspects of our nations foundation... Not allowing our
children the teachings of the Bible or prayer or the laws of God, (the Ten
Commandments) to be placed in our schools...
They are denying the presents and power of God and replacing it with
condoning sins. The murder of unborn babies, alternant life styles,
(homosexuality), the mind altering teaching of, if it feels good then do
it. Accepting and bringing in false religions. The people covered in the
white dust are blinded by their wealth and the few who are trying to get
them to return back to God are stifled by the dust of their worldly lust,
(trying to sing the truth but couldn’t) And just as removing the
foundation stones from any building, removing the corner stone of God from
the foundation will being total destruction of this or any nation who have
turned their back on God and the teachings of the Bible...
We as Christian individuals are the monkeys of the story. We have dropped
the fruit, (love of God) and Satan has entered in, just as in verse 27,
with promises of wealth and happiness and We have let go of true joy, the
fruit the little monkey had first, (in the case of the Christian, Christ)
and have grabbed a hold of a promise, our eyes filled with lust, greed,
fame, power, or personal wealth, which leads to all manor of sin and a
turning away from God...
Jesus has left you and I an
example of washing each others feet. Verse 10.. We as Christians
are clean but not all. Let me explain; “The underlying imagery is of an
oriental returning from the public baths to his house. His feet would
contact defilement and require cleaning, but not his body. So the believer
is cleansed as before the law from all sin “once for all” (Hebrews
10: 1, 12), but needs ever to bring is daily sins to the Father in
confession, that he may abide in unbroken fellowship with the Father and
with the Son,
(I John 1: 1, 10).... The
blood of Christ answers forever to all the law could say as to the
believers guilt, but he needs constant cleansing from the defilement of
sin... Typically, the order of approach to the presence of God was first,
the brazen alter of sacrifice, and then the laver of cleansing, (Exodus
40: 6, 7) See, also, the order in
Exodus 30: 17, 21... Christ
cannot have communion with a defiled saint, but He can and will cleanse
him”... Note: “taken from Scofield reference Bible”
Conclusion;
John 13: 23
[23] Now there was leaning on
Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
I pray our desire be as this dear disciple. And that is for you and I to
be so much in love with Jesus that we can rest our head on His bosom,
showing this love to Him as we strive to follow in His teachings and
footsteps as faithful servants.
You and I as Christians must let go of the fruit in the knothole of the
tree of sin, the temptations of Satan, and wash one another’s feet by
first, repenting of our sins daily and then reaching out to our brothers
and sisters in our Christian family of God and washing their feet. For we
are His servants but we have allowed the sinful dust of the world to cloud
our servitude.. Let us wash the dust away and lift our voices high, loud
and clear, to all who will listen. Lifting one another up in Christ and
then spreading that gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world.. Well Glory!
