Greetings, I wish to thank you for coming to visit with me
today and I pray that you will enjoy this message which I have prepared
for you. I am pleased that I am able to bring this portion of God's word
to you. If you have a Bible I would suggest that you read 1 Sam. 16: 1, 13
to get an overview of today's message.
The verse which I wish to elaborate on is verse 7.
Our Prayer: Father, I pray that you will open our eyes to your word by the
Holy Spirit. Let me see a need to look at my inner self, (the heart), to
analyze the findings therein, and to act upon those accordingly. Please
comfort us with your forgiveness and fill our hearts with joy and peace.
Let us sing praises to your name. Be with our loved ones who are lost and
help us to be a light to shine your Glory, that they might be saved before
it is, eternally to late. Be with the sick and those on beds of
affliction. Comfort and heal them, for I pray this in the name of Jesus.
Amen
Scripture: I Sam. 16:7
" But the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance, or on the
height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not
as a men seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord
looketh on the heart."
The heart according to the Layman's Bible Encyclopedia: The organ in the
human body which by its action keeps the blood in circulation,
consequently, the seat of physical life. As the central organ of the body,
the heart has come to stand for the center of moral, intellectual, and the
spiritual life, Most Biblical references to the heart have this latter
since....
And so I would like to think about our hearts and just what does God see
as concerning our hearts.
In Scripture: Deut. 6: 5, 9
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all
thy soul, and with all thy might.
And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart;
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of
them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way,
and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as
frontlets between thine eyes.
And thou shalt write them upon the post of thy house, and on thy gates."
FRONTLETS--Translated--TOTAPHOTH--ornaments worn on the forehead of God's
Word....
This love of God is to be ever in the forefront of our minds and his word
is to be embedded into our hearts and soul and we are to teach our
children, how?
DILIGENTLY, about God.
In Scripture: Deut. 5: 29
"O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and
keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with
their children forever."
If you want it to be well with your children forever....Teach then about
God!
Read Jeremiah 17: 5, 10
What are we trusting in today? America has turned her back on God. Just
where is the heart of most Americans today? MONEY-SPROTS- PLAY WORK-
HOBBIES, ETC, ETC. BUSY----BUSY----BUSY: to busy for God, to busy to read
his word, to busy to tell our children about God, Jesus, and the Holy
Spirit. We have become so busy that we have neglected the most basic and
intrinsic fundamentals which this country was founded upon...
It's time that you and I as Christians take back our country. It's time
that you and I let this government know that we are sick and tired of
wicked government policies and practices...
1. We as Christians want the Bible and prayer back in our schools.
2. We as Christians need to stand against public affirmation of
homosexuality as a lifestyle alternative choice. Read, Romans 1; 21.32 and
see what God thinks about that gay lifestyle.
3. WE as Christians want the abortion of our unborn children stopped and
outlawed as the heinous crime that it is. Read Psalms 139:15, 17 and
Jeremiah 1: 5 which states;
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest
forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet
unto the nations."
4. We as Christians want jobs back is this country. Pass laws which will
penalize American companies for going oversees to obtain cheep labor, by
increasing tariffs on their foreign imports.
5. We as Christians want our streets safe again. Make the prisons a place
of punishment instead of a garden club.
6. Stop the drug traffic to this country. Period.
It is time for you and I to come out of this complacent state which we
live in and get our hearts right with God and to fight for the moral laws
which God has laid out for us to live by and to raise our children by.
We as Christians need to get back to the basics, the Bible, God's Holy
Word...
In II Chron. 12:14
"And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the Lord."
We as Christians need to prepare our hearts in seeking the Lord by
Repenting of our sins as individuals first and then as a nation, praying
to God to:
Psalms 51; 9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Psalms 51; 10 Create in me a clean hear, O God; and renew a right spirit
within me.
Psalms 51; 11 Cast me not away from thy presents; and take not thy holy
spirit from me.
Psalms 51; 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with
thy free spirit.
Psalms 51; 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall
be converted unto thee.
Yes, our heart is the center of our moral, our intellectual, and our
spiritual life. But without GOD in the CENTER OF OUR HEART we are but
poor, wicked, and lost individuals... stumbling through this life without
purpose, always searching but never finding, climbing and reaching but
never achieving.
Always one step behind the true joy, contentment, and peace of mind which
only comes from God....
If your heart is not right with God, in all probability, no one knows it
but you because we can only see what you are on the outside... But
remember, GOD IS LOOKING ON THE INSIDE. He sees how you truly are...
If you are walking a guilty distance from God, won't you come, and repent,
and let God fix your heart.
Psalms 57:7 says: "My heart is fixed: O God, my heart is fixed: I will
sing and give praise."
Well Glory!

If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal saviour I invite you now,
to ask him to forgive you of your sins. Accept Jesus as your personal
saviour, believing that Jesus was born of a virgin, suffered on the cross
and died for your sins. Believe that he arose from the dead the third day
and is alive in heaven and that he is coming back again in Glory to take
you home with him. And then ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, come
into your heart, save your soul, writing your name in the Lambs Book of
Life, and keeping you sealed by the Holy Spirit, until his return. |
