The Old Rugged Cross

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,

The emblem of suffering and shame,

And I love that old cross where the dearest and best,

For a world of lost sinners was slain.

Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,

Has a wondrous attraction for me,

For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above,

To bear it to dark Calvary.

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,

'Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it someday for a crown.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true,

Its shame and reproach gladly bear;

Then He'll call me someday to my home far away,

Where His glory for-ever I'll share.

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,

'Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

And exchange it someday for a crown.

Once again I Thank YOU for visiting with me... If you don't know my Jesus as your personal Saviour but would like to, why not, in your own words, ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, acknowledge that you believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, suffered and gave his life on that old rugged cross, shedding His pure blood as the ultimate sacrifice for you, And on the third day arose from the grave and is on the right hand of God the Father in heaven both now and forever more.

And then ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, come into your heart, and save your soul, writing your name in the Lambs Book of Life.. If you have accepted Jesus today, that means that your are saved and born again. You have been adopted into the family of God just like me... I am then not only your friend but your brother in Christ. Please write and let me know of that decision so that I might pray and rejoice with you…

May God Bless you, each and everyone. With Love, Jim
