Are You Looking for Love?

Greetings in the Name of Jesus,

I Have a question for you today. Are You Looking for Love? If you are then I can only pray this morning that each of you will find this ‘something’ so many are searching for; this thing we call love. So many folks in this world of hate and wars are in this search for love. Searching but not completely sure for what they are searching. You know? Psychologists have long known that every person has two great longings and inward needs. The first is to be loved, and the second is to love. But when pressures and heartaches come into our lives, many give up any hope of ever finding love.

Does this sound like you today? The tragedy is that we often look in the wrong places to fill this deep, deep need and longing. Some folks will substitute lust for love. Others pursue material things or superficial relationships. But all are or have been in the futile search to attempt to fill this God-shaped vacuum in the human heart; Yes, an emptiness which clings to the very souls of those who know neither Christ nor His fulfilling and eternal love.

But have I got some wonderful news for you today! There is a love worth finding and a love worth sharing. The Bible says in,
John 3:16.  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life"…
On the cross of Christ, God's mighty love was revealed and offered unconditionally to all who would be saved and this whosoever’ mentioned here includes you. Do you long to know this mighty love? Then I need to ask you the most important question you'll ever be asked: Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God loves you, that your sins are forgiven, and that you are saved and on your way to heaven? Well dear one, here is a news flash for you this morning; you can know! Let me share with you how to discover the greatest love worth finding.

In our search and quest for this true and sincere love this morning we must consider a few things:

First we must; Admit Your Sin
You Know? A person can not be found until they first realize that they are lost. And so we must first admit that we are a sinner… The Bible says, "There is none righteous, no, not one" (Romans 3:10). "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). It is our sin that separates us from God and from fulfilling our deepest needs and longings. Sin is an offense against God that carries a serious penalty. According to my Bible in; Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; [eternal separation from the love and mercy of God]. but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Second we must; Abandon Your Efforts
You must abandon any efforts to save yourself. If we could save ourselves, Jesus' death would have been futile and unnecessary! Even "getting religion" cannot get you to heaven. The Bible says it is:

Titus 3: 5, 6
5. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his
[that is God's] mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6. Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7. That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life

For you see, Salvation is by faith in God's grace and God’s gift alone.

 Ephesians 2:8-9
8. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9. Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Third we must Acknowledge Christ's Payment
What you cannot do for yourself, Jesus Christ has done for you! "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). He died on the cross for you and then rose from the dead to prove that His payment was acceptable to God. But you must acknowledge and believe this fact. “And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31”).

Forth in finding true love is: Accept Christ as Your Savior Salvation is God's gift to you. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). When someone offers you a priceless gift, the wisest thing you can do is to accept it! This very moment, right where you are sitting, that’s right you don’t have to be in church or anywhere else to do this but right now, right where you are, you can receive Christ's gift of salvation by sincerely praying this simple prayer from your heart:

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that You love me and want to save me. Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God, who died on the cross to pay for my sins. I believe God raised You from the dead. I now turn from my sin and, believing and by faith, receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. Come into my heart, forgive my sins, and save me, Lord Jesus.
For it is in the pure shed blood and most precious Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Friend, if you have been searching to fill that void in your life and have not yet made that most important decision in your life, this decision for Christ, I urge you to receive Him today. And this for sure is one thing I can personally promise you: You'll be eternally glad to know that true love worth finding!

Special note: The letter below was a response to this message when I sent the e-mail on June7, 2009. I pray that it will encourage you and challenge you as it did this young man...  Used with permission.

Thank you very much for the inspirational message, this has really challenged me that in God alone we can find the real Love. Well I' am a Papua New Guinean young single Christian from the Salvation Army. I have my down falls as a young Christian but thank you very much, you just brought me to another dimension through this message. I have prayed on the prayer that was on the message but am asking if you could pray for me for God's strength & courage, and give the boldness to witness for him.
Thank you & God Bless.

Here is my reply:

Hi Valina,
I was so pleased as I read your letter from the heart. It is always hard for young Christian men and ladies alike, single or married to walk closely in the footsteps of Our Lord, Jesus.. Mostly because the devil isn't happy about it and wants to make you fall away from God and Satan will use every trick he knows to stop your testimony for Christ.

But I do want you to know that I praying for you and all who are seeking for God's will in their lives. And I do pray now that the Holy Spirit will guide you and give you the strength to be a strong Christian man and witness for Jesus and that you will become an outstanding influence and soul winner where you live and that many will come to know Jesus because of your testimony. For this I pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen and Amen

Until we meet again;

May we each yield our lives to Jesus and tell all those we meet what God has done in our lives and how He has saved our soul from an eternity in Hell. For complete surrender to Him brings complete victory. Well Glory!

And May the Lord wrap you in His Love,

  Bro. Jim
