The Eagle and the Rooster The eagle flew high in the sky, meanwhile enjoying the beauty of the world and thought: "I fly above great plains and see valleys and mountains, seas and rivers, meadows and forests; I see countless animals and birds; I see cities and villages and how people live; but look, an ordinary farm rooster knows nothing but its own terrain, seeing only a few people and animals; "I'll fly over to him and tell him about the great life in the world." The eagle flew at the roof of the farm and saw the rooster bravely and happily going around, amidst his chickens and the eagle thought: "So, he is satisfied with his faith and circumstances! But yet I will tell him of what I know." And the eagle started telling about the beauty and richness of the world. At first the rooster listened with interest, but he did not understand anything. When the eagle saw that the rooster did not understand, he became sad and found it difficult to speak with the rooster; but the rooster, not understanding what the eagle was speaking about, became bored and found it hard to listen to the eagle. But each of them remained satisfied with their own faith and their circumstance. This also happens, when an educated person has a conversation with someone that is not educated, but even more so when a spiritual person speaks with someone that is not spiritual. The spiritual person is like the eagle, the other is like the rooster; The spiritual person considers day and night the law of The Lord and rises up high through prayers to God; But the spirit of the other is attached to the earth or is preoccupied with thoughts. The spiritual person enjoys peace, but the soul of the person that is not spiritual remains empty and scattered. The spiritual man flies like an eagle in great heights and his soul feels God; and he sees the whole world, even if he prays in the dark of night; While the man that is not spiritual, satisfies his vanity with worldly richness or enjoyments of the flesh. And when a spiritual person and his counterpart meet, they are both bored and contact is difficult. Be like the eagle! Author Unknown |

Once again I Thank YOU for visiting with me... If you don't know my Jesus
as your personal Saviour but would like to, why not, in your own words,
ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins, acknowledge that you believe that
Jesus was born of a virgin, suffered and gave his life on that old cross,
shedding His pure blood as the ultimate sacrifice for you, and that on the
third day arose from the grave and is on the right hand of God the Father
in heaven both now and forever more. And then ask Jesus to come into your
heart and save your soul, writing your name in the Lambs Book of Life.. If
you have accepted Jesus today, that means that your are saved and born
again. You have been adopted into the family of God just like me... I am
then not only your friend but your brother in Christ. Please write and let
me know of that decision so that I might pray and rejoice with you… May God Bless you, each and everyone. With Love, Jim |
