Reaching the World with Jesus

Greetings Little Flock,

I received the below article which was written by a former monk and priest in the mail and lay no claim as to its contents but found it to be enlightening. Iím not sure where it originated. I pray that as you read it you will ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and help you to understand how it relates and aligns to God's Word. Ask the Lord to open your eyes and if you are of the Catholic faith I believe that after reading this you will want to consider the ramifications and significance of how your life is in relation to God. Your eternal destination is at stake. Salvation is not something NOT to be taken lightly. I have studied and believed as does this former priest but I felt that in this study his testimony may carry some weight for the Catholic folks who read it and not coming just from this Bible teaching Baptist preacher...

I am doing this page out of a love for God and for you, knowing full well that is is going to offend some. But as a God called man of God I must reveal these Bible truths and then turn it over to the Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of those He would... I must preach this or else the blood of those, perhaps sincere souls but mislead in Bible truth, whom I know are following the wrong path will be on my head. And knowing that these lost souls will be spending all of eternity in hell would burn deep down in my heart and soul if I said nothing... And so;

I'd like to look at a few scriptures here before we go to former monk and priest, H. Gregory Adam's article.  NOTE: Scriptures are in Blue. The words of Christ are in Red italics...

Mathew 23: 6, 10
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
love Mark 12:38, Luke 20:46]]]

7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Father Malachi 1:6]]]

10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
masters James 3; 1 ]]]

First a commandment from Mary, the mother of Jesus. The ONLY command recorded in the Bible which Mary gave;

John 2; 2, 5
2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.
3 And when they wanted wine
, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5 His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

Jesus said that; "I am the way"  He did not say nor does the Bible teach to trust in saints, a priest, a pope, a rabbi, the mother Mary, Buda, Allah,  or any other man or woman. And so the command Mary, the mother of Jesus proclaimed was: Whatsoever he (Jesus) saith unto you, do it.

Acts 4: 12
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
name Matt 1:21 Luke 1:31 Acts 13:38 ]]]

Jesus says; Faith in Him. He did NOT say special sacrifice or good works for salvation.

John 3: 36
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Romans 4: 5
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Jesus says; Everlasting life. He did NOT say it was probationary.

John 5; 24, 25
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

John 10; 25, 30
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one.

Jesus says; God's words are the only authority to follow. He did NOT say Traditions (family or otherwise), or the commandments of men were His words.

John 12; 48
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Mark 7; 7
6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
[[[ Isa 29:13, Matt 15:9 ]]]

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

I would also ask that you ponder and reflect these next few scriptures. I feel that if you can only grasp the significance and depth of meaning found here in God's Word you will realize that the Rosary beads and repetitious Hail Mary prayer is not in accordance to the councils of God.

Mathew 6: 5, 13

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
seen Matt 6:1, Matt 6:16, Matt 23:5

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
reward Jer 17:10, Matt 6:4, Matt 6:18

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
knoweth Matt 6:32, Luke 12:30, Phil 4:19

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
After Luke 11:2

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Matt 26:42, Luke 22:42, Acts 21:14

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
forgive Exod 34:7, Psa 32:1, Psa 130:4, Matt 9:2, Matt 26:28, Eph 1:7, 1st John 1:9

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
strait Luke 13:24
wide 1st John 5:19

Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
prophets Deut 13:3, Jer 23:16, Rom 16:17, Eph 5:6, Col 2:8, 2nd Pet 2:1, 1st John 4:1
sheep's Micah 3:5, 2 Tim 3:5
wolves Acts 20:29

Yea, I have used a great deal of scripture here but it isn't what I think but God's Word which must convict you of this false religion. And if you find any part of your religious faith NOT running in alignment or in accordance with God's Word, regardless of the religious denomination or faith affiliation, then it is false and you have been tricked, for what ever reason, by the father of all lies. the devil himself, Lucifer or referred to as Satan.

My question then to you is this; Do you know where you will spend eternity? Have you been truly saved by the blood of Christ? And if so, why are you associating yourself with a false church? A family tradition is a terrible thing to lose your salvation over.  Hell is a real place. Ponder these things as you read the article below. Iím not placing this on my web site to be hateful or judgmental but to help point the way to the One and Only, True and living God. And as I said before; this I do out of love.     I have taken this scriptures from the King  James Version Bible. Use this, HTML Bible Index - King James Version to look up the references on this page... It will open in a new page and I have placed this link for your convenience...
May God Bless as you read and study.

And now for the article from H Gregory Adams (former monk and priest). It has not been altered in any way...

Are Some Roman Catholics Saved?

Issue Date: May/June 2006

By H. Gregory Adams  (former monk & priest)

"Do you believe that there are some Roman Catholics that are saved?" is a question often asked of us. "Surely, there should be some Roman Catholics that are saved. They are so sincere!"

Even Bible-believing Christians tend to think the Roman Catholics are saved due to sincerity or to their good works. But what does the Bible say? "Except a man be born again, he CANNOT see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).

Indeed there are many Roman Catholics who, in spite of their beliefs, look past it all and reach out by faith to the living Saviour. They are born again but they leave the old life behind. Such we call "converted former Roman Catholics."

But, are there any Roman Catholics saved and remaining in Roman Catholicism. Just as you cannot mix fire and water, neither can one be a saved person and remain a faithful Roman Catholic. This would be directly against the official teaching of Rome: One who would dare to consider himself, or herself, saved (that is, certain of heaven), commits one of the gravest sins-the sin of presumption.

Sincerity is good. And if sincerity alone could save a person, the monks and nuns would be first to reach heaven. But sincerity is not good enough. God says: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast."

Roman Catholics know about Christ, but do not know Him personally, therefore they are trying to work their way to Him. Roman Catholicism is essentially a religion of works and not of grace as taught in the Scriptures.

Merits are earned, or even purchased with money, yet the assurance and joy of salvation are ever absent no matter how much satisfaction may be derived from sincere worship, conscientious living, or laudable good works.

Though the cross and the death of Christ are emphasized, the saving truths of Redemption are not taught. Or they are so mixed with Mary, penance, purgatory, ritual, mass, and with idol and saint worship, that faith unto salvation is completely obscured.

Truly, many Roman Catholics, in spite of it all, have accepted Christ into their hearts, their lives-but can they then, being saved, still continue to be Roman Catholics?

If they did, they would still have to attend Mass. Mass is "the unbloody sacrifice of Christ under the appearance of bread and wine." And how can they repeat Calvary when the Bible says: "For this He did once" (Hebrews 7:27).

"He entered in once" (Hebrews 9:11-15). "Christ was once offered" (Hebrews 9:28). "The offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all" (Hebrews 10:10). "For by one offering" (Hebrews 10:14).

They would have to continue going to confession to a priest when the Bible says: "Who can forgive sins but God only?" (Mark 2:7). "Without shedding of blood there is no remission" (Hebrews 9:22). "And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous" (I John 2:1-2).

They would have to continue praying to Mary and the saints when the Bible definitely states: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (I Timothy 2:5).

Then, remaining in Roman Catholicism, they must believe that after death there is a place called "purgatory." How could this tally with the fact of being saved? The Bible says: "The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from ALL sin." (1 John 1:7).

Some tell us that they have met some pretty good Roman Catholics who talk all about Jesus and seemed to trust Him. But then again, if they trust Jesus alone for salvation (and there is no other way), then why Mass, confession, beads, statues, crucifixes, etc., etc.?

Either one knows he is saved, or does not know he is saved. What Roman Catholics really are talking about is the wafer being their "Christ" (Matthew 24:23).

The Roman Catholics are as lost as the poor African witchdoctor. The only difference is that the Roman Catholics are right about us and we do not see the need of evangelizing them.

We urge you to pray for the Roman Catholics and to witness to them as never before. They are lost and need a living Saviour, not one dead on the cross.

Those who insist that there are saved Roman Catholics either do not know the Bible or do not know Roman Catholicism.

A note for my dear catholic friends:  If this message today has stirred you up and perhaps even made you mad a me, I'm truly sorry! But what has taken place is simply this; You've come in contact with the Holy Spirit and He is placing you under conviction and dealing with your heart to understand the word of God, ask forgiveness of your sins, believe the gospel of Christ, and then ask Jesus Christ come into your heart and save your wretched soul and make you a born again believer... SO don't go off half cocked and write me a nasty letter and chew me out to put me in my place. (smile)

For you see, I'm already there. (smile) Yes sir, I've been saved by the pure and precious sacrificial Blood of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I have been call by Him to be His humble servant and proclaim His Holy Word which I try and do, out of love and to the best of my ability, with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit... Well Glory!
AND SO IF YOUR MAD AND YOU REALLY WANT TO CHEW SOMEONE OUT??? THEN I SUGGEST TAKING IT UP WITH OUR HEAVENLY FATHER... After all He is the one who wrote the book, Yes God wrote the Holy Bible... So talk to Him and then LISTEN AS HE TALKS TO YOU...

If you'd like to read more concerning the Catholic Religion please visit this site and read
The Story of a Jesuit Priest which can be found at Chick Publications. There are other false religions noted there also. Chick publications can be read in several languages which can be found on their Home Page...

Dear friend, if you cannot truthfully say that; when I die you KNOW that I will go to heaven because I know in my heart that I have been born again and God has saved my soul, then would you take a few minutes and read  "The Gift of Salvation"   There is nothing in this world better than to know, that you know, that you know, that you know, that God has saved your soul and when you take your last breadth here on earth, the next one will be in the presence of Jesus Christ. The peace which comes in this knowledge is beyond any vocabulary explanation.

Thank you for coming and I pray that God has revealed some Bible truths to you this day.

May Our Heavenly Father Bless you,

PS. I began this page yesterday but felt by the Holy Spirit to elaborate on it today.
