This is my Statement of Faith
And
What we as Baptist Believe!
ConcerningThe Scriptures!
I believe that "all scripture is given by inspiration of God."
(II Tim. 3: 15, 16) I understand this to mean that the whole Bible is
inspired in that holy men of God "were moved by the Holy Spirit"
(II Peter 1: 19, 21) to write the very words of Scripture. I believe that
this divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of
Scripture as it appeared in the original manuscripts. I believe that the
whole Bible in the originals is therefore without error. I believe that
the Scriptures center around the Lord Jesus Christ in His Person and work,
in His first and Second Coming, and that no portion, even of the Old
Testament, is properly read or understood until it leads to Him. I also
believe that all Scripture was designed for our practical instruction.
( John 5: 39--Matt. 24: 35--Psalms 19:7, 8---I Cor. 10: 11
Is the Bible the word of God, or just contains the word of God?
Answer; The Bible IS THE WORD OF GOD.
( Romans 15: 4----Heb. 4: 12
The Triune Godhead!
I believe in the one true and living God, as Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer,
and Ruler of all things. He is infinite, eternal, unchangeable, and is
revealed to us as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Gen. 1; 1--IChron. 29: 10---Jeremiah 10: 10 ---Matt. 6' 9--
Acts 1:7--Romans 8: 14, 15---I Cor. 8: 6-; 15:24---Eph. 4: 6
The Account of Creation!
Do
you believe the Genesis account of creation?
Answer; Yes. ( Gen. 1:1--John 1: 1, 3----Colossians 1: 16, 17
The Account of Man!
Although man was created in the image of God, He fell into sin and is
lost. This is true of all men, and except a man be born again, receiving
the Holy Spirit, and his name written in the Lambs Book of Life, he cannot
spend eternity with God in Heaven.
( Gen 1: 26, 27---John 3: 3---Romans 3: 10, 23----Rev. 21:27
Atonement For Sin!
I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the
Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe on Him
are redeemed by His Pure Shed Blood. I believe in the resurrection of the
crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ and in His ascension into heaven.
He is our High Priest and Advocate.
( John 1: 1,3--14; 3: 1, 7---Hebrews 10: 4, 14---I John 2; 1, 2---
--Rom. 3: 23, 26 )
Salvation!
I
believe that salvation is the gift of God's Grace.
It cannot be attained or made more secure by meritorious ( having merit,
deserving reward, or praise, etc.) works, but is freely given to all who
put their faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary's Cross.
All who so trust the Saviour are forgiven of their sins and born into the
family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.
(John 1: 12--Acts 16: 30, 33--Rom. 10: 9, 10--Eph. 1: 7;--2: 8,9 )

What are the requirements to be saved?
You must hear the word, The gospel of Christ, ( Rom. 10; 14 ). Then you
must realize that you are a sinner, ( Rom. 3; 23 ) You must then repent or
turn away from your sin, and believe that Jesus Christ was born of a
virgin, ( Matt. 1: 23 )-Lived a sinless life, ( I Peter 2; 21, 24 )
---believe in his pure blood atonement, ( Rom. 8: 5, 11 ) --Believe in His
bodily death, burial, resurrection, and ascension to heaven.
( I Cor. 15: 20----Acts 1; 11 )----and with this belief you may call on
the Lord, ask forgiveness of your sins, and accept the free gift God
offers through His Son Jesus Christ. This gift is the salvation Christ
provided by shedding His Pure Blood on the Cross of Calvary.
( Rom. 10; 9, 13---Eph. 2: 8, 9 ---Heb. 9:11--Heb. 10: 10, 20).
2. How long does salvation last?
It is everlasting. There is no end. ( John 3: 16 )
3. For whom is salvation provided?
All Mankind. ( Acts 2; 21---II Peter 3: 9 )
4. Do you believe in a limited atonement?
Absolutely NOT!
( Romans 8: 5, 11---Heb. 10, 18---John 10: 27, 30---Eph. 1: 13--4:
30----Job 10: 7---Rom. 8: 9---Rom. 8: 35, 39---Jude 1: 24---I John 5: 9,
14---John 6: 67, 69---Psa. 97: 10---Rom. 6: 22, 23 ---I John 1: 8, etc.,
etc., etc., etc. ) I realize that this doctrine of the Bible is
controversial and a great many do not believe that once you have been
saved and have accepted Christ as your personal Saviour, have received the
Holy Spirit of promise and sealed, having your name written in the Lambs
Book Of Life, will notlose so great a prize as salvation. They think that you can
lose, throw it away, will it away. sin it away, give it away. or change
your mind about keeping it.
But I just want to ask you one question. Why in the world would any one,
in their right mind, who have known the joy and peace that passes all
understanding, the true love of God, and the knowledge that they will
spend all of eternity in Heaven and not hell, want to get rid of such a
prize? The answer is simple. They wouldn't and they can't.
Does this mean that you have a license to sin? Of coarse not.
( Romans 6: 15 )
Only a foolish person could think that you can sin and get away with it. (
Heb. 12: 1, 8 ) I may address this a little later on another page but for
now, I pray that this has started you thinking. Please read all of the

The New Testament Church!
1. Did
the Lord organize a church while here on earth?
Answer. Yes. ( Matt. 16: 18 )
In this verse there is in the Greek a play upon the words, "thou art Peter
[ PETROS---literally, 'a little rock'] and upon this rock
[ PETRA ] I will build my church." He does not promise to build His church
upon Peter, but upon Himself, as Peter is careful to tell us in
( I Peter 2: 4,9 )
In this verse, the word church, in the Greek
ecclesia ( ek = "out of," kaleo = "to call" ) an assembly of called out
ones

What is the name identified with it today? Baptist
( John 3: 16----Matt. 3: 1, 17)

What is the guideline for the true church, for doctrine, reproof,
correction, authority, teaching, of any of it's practices?
Answer. The Bible. II Tim. 3: 16---I Tim. 2: 11, 12---3: 1, 16 )
4.
Is the church local and visible or invisible and universal ?
Answer. I believe that the church is a local, visible body of baptized
believers. ( Acts 19: 41---Heb. 10: 25--- Gal. 1: 2---Rev. 1: 4)
The Church Ordinances!
The first ordinance is Baptism.
1.
Who is baptism for in The New Testament?
Answer. Baptism is for the believer.
( Mark 16: 15, 16---Rom. 6: 1, 6)
a. How are the saved to be baptized?
Emersion. ( Rom. 6: 3, 4 )
b. Who has the authority to baptize?
Church__+__Pastor____Other___.
The second ordinance is The Lord's Supper.
1.
What is the Lord's supper for? We do so in remembrance and show the Lord's
death till he comes.
( I Cor. 11: 24, 26 ) a.
What are the elements to be used?
Wine and unleavened bread. Mark 14: 22, 25
The Christian Walk!
I believe that we are called with a holy calling to walk not after the
flesh but after the Spirit, and so to live in the power of the indwelling
Spirit that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. But the flesh is
never eradicated (uprooted, wiped out or destroyed) in this life, and the
individual chooses to keep the flesh in subjection to Jesus Christ through
the power of the Holy Spirit or it will surely manifest its presence in
our lives to the dishonoring of our Lord.
( Romans 6: 11, 13--8: 2, 4, 12, 13---Gal. 5: 16,23---Eph. 4: 22,24
Col. 2; 1, 10---I Pete 1; 14, 16---John 1: 4,7--3; 5, 9 )
Concerning Women!
What so you believe that the woman’s place is in the church?
The man is to rule over the woman and the woman is to be in subjection to
the man as the man is to Christ.
The woman is to be silent in the church.
( Gen. 3: 16---I Cor. 14: 33, 35---Titus 2; 3, 5------I Tim. 2: 9, 15 )
The Second coming of Christ!
1.
Is His coming Premillennial, Postmillennial, or Ahmillennial?

Do you believe in the general resurrection?
Answer. No. Why? It would dispel the premillennial theory and
( Rev. 6: 9, 11 )
3.
Do you believe in the General Judgment?
No! Why? I believe that there are two (2) judgments.
The Bema Seat, which is the judgment of the righteous (
saved, born again) concerning their rewards, and the
Great White Throne
Judgment dealing with lost or unsaved
individuals. ( Rev. 22: 12---Matt. 16: 27---II Tim. 4: 8----------I Cor.
3: 14---Rev. 20: 4, 6---Rev. 20: 11, 15 )
4. Do you believe in the split rapture? No. Why? We shall all be changed. ( 1 Cor. 15:
50, 53 )
Heaven and Hell!
1.
Do you believe in a literal Hell?
Yes. If so who goes there?
Answer. The Lost or non-believer.
2.
Do you believe in a literal heaven?
Yes. If so who goes there?
Answer. The born again believer, saved, converted, bought by the Blood. or
righteous. These are some of the terms of a person who has repented of his
sins, believes the gospel of Christ, ask for forgiveness, and accepts
Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
The
Great Commission!
Until the return of Christ, it is the Christians duty and privilege to
seek the fulfillment of Christ's Great Commission and to minister in His
name to a lost and dying world. We are to be instruments of
Jesus Christ as we are lead of the Holy Spirit.
