Just wanted to thank you for visiting and I hope you
enjoy what I've done with the ole gal.
I started on this project in the winter of 2001 and didn't finish it until
September. Over 8 months it took but we finally made it. This was the first
major project after becoming disabled and would have normally taken me about 2
weeks but I kept pecking away and, well, here are some of pictures I have
taken of the before and after work. This past year 2006 I had the motor
overhauled and I had the clutch replaced and a new 500 dollar balanced
driveshaft put in when I first got her. And yea, those are brand new
wheel on her too... Nothing to good for this ole gal. *smile*

This was the way she looked when I first started

On each side of the bed were an open hole opening so I found an old washing machine and cut and welded the back of it to fill in the gap. I left the top open so I could haul oxygen/acetylene bottles or other tall items

On this side of the bed the open hole was replaced with a dryer door. Yea wash clothes on one side and dry them on the other. LOL But it was the perfect size and worked just great. It had a crease in it and I had to work it out a little and covered or hid what I couldn't fix with the lace feather dust painting I finish it with. It wasn't as good a cover up as the government gets away with but it will do for an ole farm truck... you can also see the inside of the truck.

The front fenders were pretty rusted on the old state truck so I got some new ones. Here she is all stripped down..

Yea, had to replace the floor pans. They were rusted and had holes and since the brakes worked pretty well I didn't think I'd need the hole so I could put my feet down and skid stop her. LOL

Well as you can see the inside took on a new look. I
painted the doors, interior cab, and dash to match the outside. That is a
brass piece for a horse harness on the gear shift and we had some carpet left
over from when I built our house and I put in the western seat covers. Nothing
fancy but durable for hauling hay and working on the farm. I later put an
Appaloosa horse hood ornament on the ole truck...

Finished, yea!

Oh by the way, since this picture was taken someone back
a hay fork into that dryer door and it's all pushed in so the crease is
finally hidden really well... LOL I do plan on repainting her and putting on
another dryer door is I can find an old dryer someone has thrown away. *smile*

Here is the first job for the little Dodge. I used it to haul a Gazebo home
for my Connie girl. My friends, Thomas, Joseph, and Marvin helped Connie
unload the gazebo and set it up for her.

These last two pictures were taken in 2005 and the ole gal still looks pretty good. That lace paint job sure stands out in the dark. I hope that you've enjoyed your visit with me and I guess that little Panda Bear is ready to go now so you have a wonderful day and keep the shiny side up. *smile*

If I ever get to paint the little Dodge again I'll put a couple more pictures of the new paint job on here. They had this paint called sunset real orange I'm dying to try on her. But redoing the interior again is maybe a little more than I'll be able to do. Just have to wait and see...
May the Good Lord Bless you and come again...
