Welcome!
To the
'1960' Ford Pickup
For Sale Page
First up is this one of the greatest Ford
Truck styles that ever hit the highway. An Auto painter's two tone heaven. The
lines of this ole truck are begging for a powder blue/dark royal blue,
dark brown/ light tan,
or maybe a famous
candy apple red/black
combo paint
the combinations are almost endless.

Well for the truck enthusiast here is one that will definitely turn heads running down the road. It has a newer 302 V8 but will only idle. Carb. or timing? I'm not much when it comes to motors. I cleaned out the gas tank and my son borrowed it, when it was running right, to drive for about two months down in Tennessee. He brought it back home on a car hauler and bent the tie rod backing it off so I took it to Russellville, Pulley's Tire and Alignment Center, and it now has a brand new tie rod, front end aligned, and practically new tires and nice aluminum wheels.
The shifting linkage is upside down and the park is at the bottom instead of the top. It was changed over to an automatic. It had been set up for a fella in a wheel chair and the brake was the clutch and clutch peddle the brakes because of his hand controls. But I switched that quick, fast, and in a hurry after the first time I tried to stop the little truck and almost drove it down into the woods before I found out about the brakes being on the clutch pedal... LOL
The little truck needs some glass and there are a few small holes around the doors but shouldn't be hard to fix. I have a book to order the parts to replace the bad spots or if your like me and wanting a truck to use to haul a little hay, or mulch, a lawn mower, or RTV and still have that classy look when you hit town, then I'd just cut a small strip of metal and weld it right over the bad spots and then allow a little Bondo to do it's magic. (smile) The spots just aren't that bad.
Updated July 24th 2006
My 14 yr. old grandson, Will and nephew, John T did a little sanding on the passenger side and I took what I thought was some older left over paint and we painted it. Not enough paint to do both sides. Drivers side isn't too bad... Anyway, no body work, just a light sand and paint to keep the old gal from rusting further. Come to find out that the paint wasn't old but some pearl desant white we had used for the wife's Chevy Dully. About $65.00 a quart... (smile)
Didn't have enough paint, 2 Quarts, to do both sides so did just passenger and part of the hood. Looked and found some Royal Blue and two toned it just to see how she'd look. I guess it'll do until someone takes her home with them and does it right but at least it is protected against the elements. It is a good truck but needs restored the right way. So if you're looking for a great starter project, this is it... (smile) Oh yea, here are a couple of pictures of what the boys and this ole broken down Pa Pa did last week.

I'll get some more pictures when I get it moved back over to the garage and the boys clean her up some. Gonna let them buff the drivers side and polish those wheels... I think they did a pretty good job for the first time out sanding and painting... (smile) Need to let these younguns learn how to do some of these type things while they are young so they can work on their own cars when they get old enough... And as for me? Well, it sure did feel good teaching them and getting out side and doing a little something even if it wasn't much... (smile)
The asking price on this oldie but goodie place in time is:
$2500.00
but I'll entertain your offer.
Thank you for looking at my little truck.
