There's Room at the Cross for You
53 Greetings in the precious name of Jesus, What a wonderful and glorious day it is for us to come together to praise and worship Our Heavenly Father & Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I would also ask that you pray for this ministry, that Our Lord will use it to encourage folks, help the lost to find Jesus as their personal Saviour, and to be a blessing to the child of God. Thank you for those prayers. My, Oh My, What a beautiful day it is outside to be serving Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus… I’ve got a lot of scripture for you today and so we’re going to jump right into our message and if we have a little bit of time left I’ll sing you off the air. I wish to thank all of you, in my email little flock, who are listening today as well as all the nice folks who live close by…
I’d like to think a few minutes today about:
Our text come from; We find that the preaching of salvation for lost sinners by the sufferings and death on the cross, by the Son of God, if explained and faithfully applied, appears foolishness to those on the way to destruction. The sensual, the covetous, the proud, the greedy, and the ambitious, alike see that the gospel opposes their favorite pursuits. But those who receive the gospel, and are enlightened by the Spirit of God, see more of God's wisdom and power in this doctrine of Christ crucified on that cruel cross, buried, and then raised from the dead; can not only receive but truly enjoy this great salvation. And the most wonderful part is that there is always room for one more at the foot of the cross of Jesus so they might become saved and a born again child of God. Well Glory! We also find in the prayer of Christ found in;
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 1. Jesus was praying for these who believed upon Him. And these folks were those present with him as He spoke. But more so He is praying for those who shall find the cross of salvation and embrace these findings and become saved and children of God.
24 Father, I will that
they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am ; that
they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst
me before the foundation of the world. 3. Also Christ, as one with the Father, claimed on behalf of all that had been given to him, and should in due time believe on him, that they should be brought to heaven; and that there, the whole company of the redeemed might behold his glory as their beloved Friend and Brother, and therein find happiness. But we can only find this true happiness by coming to the foot of the cross, repenting of our sins, and accepting Christ as Our Lord and Saviour. And regardless of the status in life there is room at the cross for you.
John 3: 1, 7 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
And so you and I can plainly see that
there is but one way to be saved and born again. And there is but
one way to spend eternity in Heaven. And this is a fact, whether a
person is totally illerate and not the brightest person in the world
or as Nicodemus in this passage of scripture. A ruler and a teacher
who was wise in the scriptures but ignorant of salvations plan and
the path to Heaven. Nicodemus, in all his wisdom had not the Holy
Spirit not the blood washing of Christ. And so Jesus shows the
Scriptural scholar they way as we can see in verses 16, 17
Well folks, my question for today is;
Have you been to the foot of the cross and have you found Jesus?
Have you called upon Him to save you from that demon’s hell of fire
and brimstone? Do you know that if you should die in your next
breath, you would spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus? Well If you
can’t answer yes to these questions then I must tell you; Thank you so much for coming and until we meet again, May the angels watch over you this next week and may Our Heavenly Father fill your hearts in His love and give you the victory in Jesus.
