The Fool Hath Said

Greetings in the Precious Name of Jesus,

I’m so happy that you have come to join with me, as together; you and I worship Our Lord this morning in Spirit and Truth. This is our first Wednesday’s radio service and I ask Our Heavenly Farther to help us bring a message which will help those listening today, to be blessed in their hearts, as we grow together in God’s word. It’s going to be a little bit hard for these first few weeks trying to figure how to format my program and get my messages exactly in the 15 minute time slot.

So I’ll ask that you pray for God’s help and direction as we bring His message for the hour. And pray for this newly acquired radio ministry as well as my online ministry; that God will give us lost souls for our labor and that we’ll not only be able to lift your spirits but bring a blessing to each of you as well. And I do covet, need, and thank you for those prayers.  And so today I’d like to preach on; ‘The Fool Hath Said’ and we’ll be taking our text from:

Psalms 53:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

And in Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Lord I pray this morning that you will use this message to help us see the foolishness of lost men and give us courage to witness to them and tell them of Jesus so that they may hear of His saving power and marvelous grace. Amen

Well folks in this messed up ole world today it just seems like there are more and more folks who simply don’t believe in God. Doesn’t it seem that way to you? More greed, more hate, more drugs, more homosexual agendas, and just more crimes filling the news. Just everything and everywhere we look, it points to people not believing in God. Depraved and living for the devil. Atheist denying the existence of God and claiming they are their own gods.

So sad isn’t it? It reminds me of the story where this atheist was all bent out of shape because Americans had Veteran’s Day, Martin Luther King’s day, St. Patrick’s Day, even Christmas, but no atheist day… So he went thru the channels of trying to get the government to have a day set aside just for atheist. Well, he stood before the Judge with his long petition of notes of telling why the atheist need their own day… The judge, after listening to this atheist said to him. But atheist do have a day set aside for them. The atheist got angry and said, “And just what day is that? To which the judge replied. Well sir, it’s April Fool’s Day… LOL  All I can say is; it sounded like a wise ole judge to me.

Now in the book of Philippians 3:18-19 – KJV we find: (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

The way of those who mind earthly things, may seem pleasant, but death and hell are at the end of it. And people who choose their way, shall share their end. The life of a Christian is in heaven, where his God and his home are, and where he hopes to be shortly; he sets his affections upon things above; and where his heart is, there will his conversation be.

We also find in 1 John 2:15-18
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

You see folks, The world draws the heart from God; and the more the love of the world prevails, the more the love of God decays. The things of the world are classed according to the three ruling inclinations of depraved nature.

1. The lust of the flesh, of the body: wrong desires of the heart, the appetite of indulging all things that excite and inflame sensual pleasures.

2. The lust of the eyes: the eyes are delighted with riches and rich possessions; this is the lust of covetousness.

3. The pride of life: a vain man craves the grandeur and pomp of a vain-glorious life; this includes thirst after honour and applause. The things of the world quickly fade and die away; desire itself will long fail and cease, but holy affection is not like the lust that passes away. For the love of God shall never fail.

Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Listen folks, I ask you a question this morning; Is there a God? So many will say; why yes, there is a God. But then they live like the devil as though there isn’t. It frightens and saddens me because if they truly believed, fully knowing that if there is a loving God; but that this same loving God is also a God of wrath and judgment; then why in the world would a person say they believe and then, live like the devil?. If folks truly believed wouldn’t they as the scripture says, want to present their bodies and living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God? Why sure they would.

Yes folks, there is a God and you and I as believers need to be growing closer to Him. Attending church, studying our Bibles more, and learning of Him and living our daily lives as close to Him as possible. And we need to be witnessing to the lost because they for sure are watching you and how you live as a child of God. And believe me when I tell you that, as a Christian, you may be the only Bible a lost person ever reads. I pray that lost person likes what he sees in your pages… And so I guess that you and I are in a race. Yes, a race to see if we win the prize of winning lost souls.

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

You Know? The person who runs a race, must never stop short of the end, but press forward as fast as he can; so those who have heaven in their view, must still press forward to it, in holy desires and hopes, and constant endeavors. Eternal life is the gift of God, but it is in Christ Jesus; through his hand it must come to us, as it is procured for us by him. There is no getting to heaven or having Heaven as our home, but by Christ as our Way.
