A promise from God

Good Morning Little Flock,

WOW! what a great day to be praising my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. As I sat here and began reading the mail I heard the song, ‘They Can’t Take Jesus From My Heart’ I just sent to you, and it hit me how great my Lord is and reminded me of this scripture passage found in;
Romans 8: 30, 39
[30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
[31] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
[32] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
[33] Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
[34] Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
[35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
[36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
[37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
[39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I can just see those early Christians in my minds eye and how they sang songs of praise with their faces full of love an peace as those Roman solders led them to be tortured in the arena’s and fed to the lions. Can you picture the cheering crowds as they led these faithful children of God out in the arena only to be silenced by these children of God singing praises to The King of Kings and Lord of Lords? Yea they could kill them but they couldn’t take the love of Jesus from them.

I’m so charged up this morning that I didn’t even start this thought out as I normally do. (smile) But the more we think on this revelation of the Love of Christ for us I just can’t think of anything else. Jump back up to our scripture and read it again only this time allow the meaning sink in... If God (the creator of the universe) can be for us, ( you and I, insignificant in the eyes of the world), then WHO can be against us? NO ONE could, can, or will ever be able to, prosper against you or I. Well Glory! Why? Because you are His child..

The question is asked, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Can the tribulation you find yourself in separate you. NO! Can the distress which seems to plague our very souls separate us. NO! Then what about the persecutions which all of us at one time or another have come across? NO! Or what about or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? NO! Paul said here that; neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, “ But more that just making this statement, Paul emphasized it by saying; For I am persuaded. hmmmm, Persuaded, what an interesting word. It means; “To cause (another) to believe or feel sure about something : To assure, convince, satisfy, win over.” Are you persuaded this morning? We need to be! And by the way I believe that this pretty well covers all of the bases doesn’t it? Not even Satan and his angelic host shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. And How may we be so certain of this? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all,

And just what does all of this mean to you as a child of God? It means that you and I are conquerors over this life but more than that; [37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. You mean there is more than being conquerors over this live? Yea, much more. For we which have accepted Jesus as Saviour and covered by His sacrificial ‘Pure Blood’ are therefore His Children and guaranteed eternity in Heaven. ( I Peter 1: 4, 5; [4] To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, [5] Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time ) We’ll have to look further into these verses in I Peter won’t we? But that is for another time. (smile) Let us digest this thought today and praise God that we are MORE than conquerors in this life. For we will one day reign with Him in Heaven and nothing, not anything nor anyone can change this fact. It’s a promise from God... Well Glory!
